Out of curiosity where did Dancing rank in the demos?

Nine put in another dominant performance to get the week off to a good start. 10 improved from the previous week with Seven, ABC and SBS losing share. Nine again won all markets except Perth.

Nine had the number one news just ahead of Seven with both over 1.3 million viewers. Married At First Sight was steady as the top entertainment program with 60 Minutes that followed dominating its timeslot with over 1 million for the first time this year.

Seven’s line up saw The Latest drop 277,000 week-on-week as the network ran a split schedule with the show at 7pm only in Sydney and Brisbane. In AFL states the Ben Cousins Special posted 791,000 in preliminary numbers.

Over on 10, Dancing With The Stars came to an end an did well to post a season high above 600k for the first time this season. It ranked 10th and 11th in 25-54.

ABC News was over 1 million while Stateless was down slightly. Bluey posted another record audience to just make the top 20.

Massive ratings for both Seven and Nine News.
The Ben Cousins special rated well, especially in Perth where it ranked second behind Seven News.

Wow. Weekend Sunrise.

Did 10 have 6pm news last night? If so, it seems to have bridged the gap between the 6pm news and 6:30pm The Project.

Those 10 News weekend news figures would have to be some of the highest for a weekend we’ve seen in a while, especially for a national bulletin.

Over 600K for Insiders at 9am - massive!

Yes 10 News First at 6pm ranked 24th.

One thing that gets overlooked in Sunday ratings is the 5.30pm programs on Seven and Nine since they are only shown in one market. Yesterday some of these included

SYDNEY WEEKENDER - ranked 8th in Sydney on Seven
POSTCARDS 10th in Melbourne on Nine
WEEKENDER 6th in Brisbane on Seven and MY WAY 9th on Nine
SOUTH AUSSIE WITH COSI 12th in Adelaide on Nine

and yet Sydney Weekend got axed… disappointing decision

Big numbers for Seven and Nine News. The Project 6.30pm is up too. Thanks to PM Scott Morrison’s live press conference.

Nine would be happy with their schedule, especially MAFS still blitzing the competition.

Ten did well with the DWTS Final. Not as high as its Channel Seven years, but well enough for Ten’s standards.

Bluey still makes the top 20. Wow.

Every news program is up massively.
Australian’s are looking for trusted reliable sources and they’re going back to the old school media.

Who would have thought a DWTS final on 10 would outrate a MKR final on Seven!

From Nine

Married at First Sight was the No.1 program with People 25-54, People 16-39 and GS + Child.

Nine News Sunday was the highest rating bulletin in more than two years (December 3, 2017).

60 Minutes was a timeslot winner across the 5 City and in all metro capitals.

Nine News Special: COVID-19 was a timeslot winner across the 5 City and in all metro capitals.

I’m somewhat surprised the Ben Cousins special did well. I didn’t think that many Australians would even know him, let alone be interested about his life. To think that it even out-rated every episode of MKR is just incredible.

DWTS wrapped up on a high. Very well-produced despite the circumstances. 60 Minutes very high as well, which is good to see.

News numbers once again very good from all networks.

I still dont really think Dancing did that well. It didn’t even manage to get a spot in the top 5 of the demos. Its skews too old for 10.

Maybe they should incorporate some modern dances (like hip hop) into the show if it returns. Could be a bit of difference compared to just ballroom dances.

Back to the sort of ratings Andrew O’Keefe used to get back in his early days on the show.

When it was 7 it had a judging panel which was entertaining, haven’t bothered with this show or even taken a glimpse. No controversy - just pure dancing AND still over 1.5 hours. YAWN.

If you want controversy watch MAFS or MKR. Not every reality show has to be controversial to be entertaining.

DWTS is not must see-tv! Ratings speak otherwise… add Todd McKenny and there may be some interest from viewers.
