Don’t people here remember that the ratings of 7Flix increased pretty much overnight after they made the switch and ran those “Now available on more TVs” promos in June 2016?!

At least with the masked singer it would be a 200k jump some nights. However i think it’s silly. Also as a full show the average would’ve been higher and most likely beat the block some nights.
Not sure why the block bothers, it’s not that much change.

Lindy Chamberlain seemed like an off primetime choice for Channel 10. I think it could have done OK at 830 off the back of a stronger lead in but was not going to perform on its own.

Outside of AFL Alicia is normally miles in front. Check ratings November to Feb. Often 70-100k ahead.
Seven’s ship sailed when they lost Jen who was competitive with Alicia on weekends. Too much chopping and changing, that ship has long sailed. Who remembers Sean Sowerby. The weather presenter merry go round. Blake? Clint and Alicia have been there the entire time.
Not only that Alicia is a solid presenter.

I watched the Lindy Chamberlain documentary today. And it was great. I would recommend others watching it. I just wish 10 did what SBS does and put both episodes on 10play.

What I found bizarre was the incessant promotions for the mindnumbingly stupid The Bachelorette in every commercial break of a serious documentary. Such a mismatch.

Shows how much worse Seven News Melbourne has got - it wouldn’t be a mystery to find out why there is an increasing gap.
In this case, I would put part of the reason down to COVID. The average audience has gone up significantly for both bulletins so that the percentage difference is probably similar. Nine is up 80k while Seven is up 60k.
Just check out the week day numbers and compare them to the same week last year in Melbourne.

These docos do feel very channel 5 UK to me
Paramount Network is rebranding as Paramount Movie Network in the US with 52 original movies a year. And they stated they will partner with 10 on some of them.
That feels more like a strategy to me

I doubt it rated in 16-39 at all either, considering that share (and TVT posted online the highest rating program which wasn’t even a third in total people of what The Simpsons does in a key demo on 7flix!)

I’m sorry but it’s ridiculous that Nine are claiming that The Block was two separate programs last night even though only one episode actually aired.
Just because a network decides to split a single airing into two or more separate entries doesn’t mean they should be able to claim each is a separate program.
10 did the exact same thing with The Bachelor finale

Landline and Gardening Australia did well for the 12.30-2.30pm slots for the ABC. (Yes, i know it was really for the press conference from Victoria).
