The Sunday of a long weekend (in some states) saw ratings numbers generally lower than usual while Seven scoring a narrow win.

The second week of The Floor saw the program as Sunday night’s top entertainment show with 906k, a season low, after the launch episode had 979k. Seven’s 7pm offering was The 1% Club was down 110k to 838k.

Meanwhile Jimmy Barnes and his wife Jane were guest judges on MasterChef Australia that also had a season low 640k down from the launch episode that had 722k

On ABC, The Assembly Season 3 premiered with Andy Lee being questioned. That averaged 508k which compares to the second season that debuted to 543k in September last year.

Later, 60 Minutes bounced back for a timeslot win with 679k to be ahead of 7NEWS Spotlight that dropped 170k week-on-week.

ABC’s new Australian comedy Bad Company premiered with 540k while Race Across The World was down 30k to 183k.

Australian Crime Stories: The Investigators had just over 400k to be slightly ahead of Bergerac Season 2 that premiered to 392k. Seven’s Bravery & Betrayal premiered to just 275k.

In the NRL Sunday Footy the Sea Eagles beat the Eels to average 539k, down slightly on last week.

The afternoon AFL that included Brisbane’s +50-point win over Adelaide in three markets plus St Kilda v West Coast and GWS v North Melbourne averaged 481k.

The 6pm news contest was very tight with Seven News ahead by just 4k.

At breakfast, Weekend Sunrise dominated with 422k to be well ahead of Weekend Today on 288k and Weekend Breakfast with 212k.

Big drop for The 1% Club and 7News Spotlight.

This style of combining the AFL ratings on Sunday actually makes sense and imo is better than having 3 seperate ratings. And since it’s a Sunday, we should also get the state by state information too so you can get an idea of what each match kinda got

All shows went down from last week.

When all three FTA footy games were blowouts, naturally NRL wins. Like 98% of occasions this year.

Interesting that Bad Company did better than its lead-in The Assembly and this was despite BC starting at the odd time of 8.15pm.

Perhaps Bad Company should have been in the Wednesday night comedy block and Spelling Bee shown on Sundays.

Still really competitive across the commercial realities, differences amongst markets and metrics.

Top Gun Maverick did very well for 10 Drama. Looks like Die Hard 2 also scored a crowd for 7mate.

Still some good numbers for The Floor and The 1% Club.

Not a bad start for ABC’s Bad Company either.

Top Gun Maverick did well for 10 Drama. Movies work for that channel, compared to Nickelodeon’s movies that air on the other nights…

In stark contrast to m/c the previous night or two unusually as noted, maybe it was a long weekend thing in some markets.

I’m guessing a solid portion of 10’s shares last night came from 10 Drama.

Helped 10 grow its shares well on week and looking healthy in the demo’s. If only it was a regular occurrence.

10 drama has done Sunday night movies of late… now if only they advertised them.
