#2

Not a bad finish for All Together Now but they probably were hoping for more from a finale.

Graham Norton doing better for Ten than the terrible Game of Games.

Insiders makes the top 10 Sunday shows now, beating a lot of prime time stuff. :open_mouth:

#3

All Together Now rated quite well for the grand final. Hopefully the show will return next year.
Missy Higgins and Friends came fourth at 8.30pm!

#4

The final of All Together was the number on entertainment show of Sunday but rated lower than the first two episodes that were up against The Block and had 813,000 and 746,000.

#5

Unworthy of renewal in my opinion. Remember when the end of November used to see Australian Idol finals with 3+ million audiences?

#6

Remember when we only had five Free To Air channels and no such thing as Streaming?

#7

I don’t disagree, but if Seven doesn’t renew this, what else have they got?
It’s ratings are OK as are its demos. I suspect it is more likely than not to be renewed.

#8

Seven won, after Nine won the previous two Sundays, even though there was little increase for the finale of All Together Now.

#9

And Aussie dramas rated 2 million not 500k.

#10

Try something new again. Or if you’re going to do singing bring back Idol like ABC did in America.

#11

Why not try and build on a moderate success like All Together Now was? It worked for MKR. The first two seasons were average but then it it blew up with Season 3 and got bigger in subsequent seasons.

Married At First Sight was most successful the fifth time around.

Nine tried a reboot of Australia’s Got Talent and it flopped. Let’s see what happens with the Dancing With The Stars revival before advocating for more reboots. I think it will struggle too.

#12

But they can bring this back AND try something new. Lots of spare space where some of their other 7:30 shows flopped.

#13

And it’s only once a week so there are many other timeslots to fill.

#14

That was 15 years ago. No comparison to the current TV environment.

#15

It was an observation, not a comparison. It is interesting how what we watch has changed with the introduction of new technology and greater choice. It makes me wonder if shows that were huge back then would have been as successful if they were airing in this climate, with more competition from streaming services etc. I guess we will never know.

#16

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that ATN has the potential to do really well if tweaks are made and that Seven respected the show. TBH Dance Boss would’ve also had the potential, problem is Seven never treats their shows well, and as a result the ratings either flop or their quality leave a lot to be desired.

#17

Strong figures for T20 match, right up there with some AFL finals. They will be hard to be beat with the Tests against India not in primetime and ODIs up against the Tennis

#18

Pretty decent result for All Together Now. The show definitely has plenty of room to grow next year and if they tweak the format a bit I think it could do very well.

#19

Am I the only one that keeps thinking of Seven Sydney (ATN7) when this acronym is used? :joy:

#20

Just notice that sports dominating the pay TV top 20, with Twenty20 in the top five and Supercars outside the top five.
