Data © OzTAM Pty Limited 2021. The Data may not be reproduced, published or communicated (electronically or in hard copy) in whole or in part, without the prior written consent of OzTAM. “Overnight” figures include “Live” (programs broadcast during the 2am-2am broadcast day) and “As Live” (programs recorded and then watched within the same broadcast day). “Consolidated” figures include Live, As Live and “Time Shift” (programs recorded and then watched within seven days of the initial broadcast).

Seven posted its first +30% share for a Sunday in 2021 giving the network its first Sunday win of the survey period. Nine was well down on recent numbers while 10’s night got a big lift. ABC’s Sunday was its lowest result of the survey while SBS was steady.

Seven News was an easy number one with Melbourne posting a 2021 high (may be adjusted due to AFL overrun).

Dancing With The Stars finished on a season high over 800k for the announcement of the winner and the rest of the program.

That saw LEGO masters and MasterChef post season lows. However both outrated Dancing in the key demo groups. Later, 60 Minutes was at a season low.

For ABC, Spicks and Specks shed +200k from the last week while Wakefield dropped out of the top 20.

Weekend Today has a rare win over Weekend Sunrise.

Seven had its first Sunday win since January 17 this year with DWTS beating both Lego Masters and MasterChef in a minor upset. The AFL overrun in Melbourne gave it a lift.

7mate was the No.1 multichannel, up 1% from last Sunday, thanks to its live telecast of the AFL match between Port Adelaide and St Kilda in Adelaide.

The audience for the afternoon clash between Collingwood and Essendon compares with 821,000 who watched the match on Anzac Day 2019.

Is that Todays ‘s first win over Sunrise this year? Weekday or weekend? Who would have thought weekends would get the first win.

Dancing did well in total viewers but not in demos. It will be interesting to see where the DWTS audience goes tonight as I can’t see the older demographic watching Big Brother in droves.

When Dancing was on Ten it didn’t do well in demos or total people?

Let’s give Dancing a rest forever now.

I could definately see Seven pushing this on Sundays for 8 weeks following Holey Moley (I don’t mean airing same night) while things like Big Bro air Mon to Wed.
No surprise 7flix halved its share from Saturday considering its early evening movie was the same movie from the day before at the same time.

I think its fair to say while didnt set the world on fire, DWTS was a pretty genius commission to fill the gap between MAFS and Big Brother caused by the delay in the Tennis. It has stabalised the Seven audience and got eyeballs watching their screen.

I really enjoyed DWTS. No nastiness or bitchiness, just TV personalities who can dance. Bec Hewitt and Luke Jacobz deserved to be in the final two, and with no previous dance training whatsoever Luke was a very worthy winner.

Interestingly, day time AFL (which only rates in 3 states) outranked prime time DWTS (which rates nationally) in the key demos, also making the Top 5 in each.

I don’t think that’s how it works… But anyway the channel rated about what it usually does on Sundays (give or take).

Dancing with the Stars Finale did well and won its 7pm timeslot. However, it failed to reach the young demos. Dancing with the Stars did well in all cities except Brisbane where it fell to Lego Masters on Nine. I pretty much doubt that Dancing with the Stars will return next year with Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger as hosts.
Seven news Melbourne provided a big boost in ratings thanks to the AFL match between Collingwood and Essendon at the MCG. Seven News managed to win over Nine News in Adelaide by a slim margin.
The Port Adelaide v St Kilda match was played during the night and was shown on 7mate in Adelaide. The Power-Saints match outrated DWTS and LEgo Masters and MCA.

Probably because a lot of oldies just don’t watch Ten.

If DWTS gets brought back for a regular season, Seven need to refresh the show up a bit with new hosts and celebrity dancers which have actually been known amongst the general public within the last 5-10 years.

I think DWTS will be back as it got viewers back to Seven. I reckon they should go down the path of having the winner Luke Jacobz host the next season and then even the runner-up Bec Hewitt would be good to co-host (although not sure that Bec would want to do that).

DWTS was pretty good this season

I would like to see that too. They could even go one better by refreshing their judging panel too. Would love to see them get Sharna back on DWTS and have her judge alongside Todd, Helen and maybe even Paul.

Was going to say, that’s the highest I’ve seen it in a while. Even against Alicia Loxley, I guess the match really is a pushing factor - though I wonder if ANZAC Day coverage made any difference as well?

The only market which didn’t have the majority of the audience watching DWTS was Brisbane, and it should be noted that there were more people watching Seven News Brisbane that night. Most flicked over to Lego Masters instead.

On that note, kudos to Seven in Sydney - despite a massive loss in that market for news, DWTS was the better performing night show compared to Lego Masters. Lego Masters also helped settle audiences in Melbourne for Nine.

And you know that Nine is onto something when, despite an over 100k lead in Perth for news, that it settles fairly dramatically with post 7pm shows. Over the past few days, Lego Masters has done really well in the market, and I don’t think I’d be mistaken saying it also did well in Perth last season.

18 - “ON TOUR WITH ALLAN BORDER-DAY”. This show aired at 1.30pm in Sydney (and maybe the same in Perth?). Why so high there, and nowhere else?

DWTS Final did well, as expected. The AFL ANZAC Game did well too. Im sure Seven would be happy.

Fantastic for Weekend Today’s Rare win. Can it continue on??
