A bit concerning when rating over 100K is a milestone for Nine News Melbourne :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’m puzzled as to how you can draw that conclusion considering the elements MasterChef changed this year (judges and tinkering with the show’s weekly structure) are different to the structural changes you’re suggesting House Rules needs to make

I accidentally deleted my post lol - sorry!

Nine & Ten will be pretty happy with those results for The Voice and MasterChef.

…by all of 1k, hardly worth busting out the champagne and party poppers over.

It’s worth being extremely surprised if Seven News Sydney wins this Sunday night, what with the impending return of NRL on Nine.

I thought it was the same movie on a 12 hour loop…or something like that.

I think nostalgia for the old late night news days (Nightline, Ten’s Late News, etc.) is a major reason why many on Media Spy are obsessed with such bulletins.

I personally think (or at least hope) that post-pandemic, viewers are really going to crave TV which makes them feel all warm and fuzzy. Producers of not just House Rules, but all reality shows would be wise to keep that in mind.

I think he meant as MC has gone back towards the elements that make it so good, and is now competitive, House Rules should do the same? (and avoid all the unnecessary drama holding it back from rating)

Lol I know, just making observations.

SBS says they’ll do it again next year

Strange that the highest rated broadcast does not appear in the top 20 multichannel shows, given that rating number. It should also appear as the number one show in the demographics for the 25-54 demo but it isn’t listed. Have to assume they are national numbers (regional + 5 cities).

Viceland rated 2.2% last night - the previous year it was 3%. Every episode last year rated over 100k nationally.

their number might be metro + regional?

Also, their number is reach (“total individuals”) as opposed to average?

That’s what I concluded

Interested to see MasterChef won its timeslot - starting 30 minutes after The Voice.
