Seven have messed up their coding for Sunday – with My Kitchen Rules yet to be determined. Above is what is available so far.

Disastrous result for 10 both for Takeaway and Hughesy and network share. Nine wins with almost 40% share; it’s been a while since any normal episode of a show got over 1.6 million metro viewers. Takeaway currently ranked 6th in the younger demos on preliminary numbers.

MAFS and 60 Minutes surge to season highs, demolishing everything. Cyrell’s passionate attack on evil Ines and the affair revelation were moments of reality television gold and they pulled the viewers in.

Sunday Night Takeaway starts small but builds on the dreadful Sunday Project lead in. Any show starting in that slot on Ten faces a mammoth task overtaking, or even getting close to competing shows on Nine and Seven. Because said show will be starting miles behind the starting line due to that appalling Project lead in. Ten need to stick with it in the hope that it will build and they have nothing else to air there.

Good retention from Hughesy but down heaps from Tuesday showings last season.

That’s a shame about Takeaway. I hope they persist with it and give it a chance to grow. I thought it was good but the episode just needs to be shorter. Ten are just going to struggle now with anything at 7.30pm as it’s hard to launch something new against MAFS which a lot of people are invested in.

Only thing good these MAFS “experts” are good at is reality tv casting for ratings

Married at First Sight and 60 Minutes thrashed everything in their path.
Bad start for Takeaway, hope the ratings go up next week.
The second women’s ODI did quite well for 7mate during the day.

My Rules killed?

MAFS killing everything. Though that basically reflects the idea that Australian audience are really averse to new formats introduced. Nine’s got the pick of the shows and Seven can’t go too hard on new shows or it will tank.

Not saying I don’t advocate new shows, in fact I do, but the reality is Australian audience seems to be fixed on a certain show and anything new will tank.

I agree, i thought they wouldve learned with Game of Games. 60 mins is good. (if its a hit then get greedy next season like the realities). Because they schedule it for 90 mins and its still going 10 mins after its supposed to end.

Apart from the top 6/7 shows, Sundays have been really low over the last year. Its no longer the huge rater it used to be

Big Mistake for Ten not to Simulcast Takeaway on 10 Bold and 10 Peach.

Hardly. If a show rates badly on the main channel then it won’t rate any better on other channels.

Plus it’s cheap and nasty.

Wow. Insane figures for MAFS.

I expected SNT to tank :frowning: but I really hope it grows over the next few weeks.

#12

It is breaking video on demand records too with almost an extra 500,000 viewers watching one episode.

60 Minutes had it’s highest rating episode in two and a half years last night.

I do wonder if they are sitting there coming up with the best coding for the highest number they can possible get, as i would imagine MKR got demolished last night.

I said it in other threads, 10 should not launch new expensive formats against MAFS! And here we are.

MKR was thrashed. Seven say 751k metro viewers watched.

#16

Wow. MAFS is in strong form at the moment. Nine have won primetime in all 5 cities during the night. Nine will go on to win the first 3 ratings weeks. So far, Nine have won 5 consecutive weeks (including tennis).

With the shares they got for Bold and Peach it looks as if they did. Thats the shares they got when they simulcast Survivor etc

#18

Was expecting Takeaway to do a bit better than that. They shouldn’t have dragged it out for nearly half an hour past its expected finish. That probably affected its final numbers and dragged Hughesy down too.

MAFS seems unstoppable. Can they keep the momentum going after the big departures?

That’s why they have got the new couples coming in. The audience has clearly formed a connection with the cast (those left) so I expect the ratings to continue to be strong until the series concludes.
