That’s part of the problem - I think we’d like to see ordinary families compete without the ‘feel good’ or ‘we are doing it for this’ type of in your face story/reasoning. Bring back the 6PM edition format and make it fast-paced over the hour, dare say have 3 families (2 initial, one eliminated, new family in).
I think if its treated like a Big Bang Theory with a regular slot it could reach 500k and grow.

It really wouldn’t. If it did then 10 would’ve put it on the main channel instead of Peach. It’s not mainstream enough for the main channel, let alone on Sunday night.
That didn’t rate either. Plus this is the same pace anyway. There are two games each night over the 42 minutes
BTW did significantly worse in the demos compared to total people. In 25-54 Episode 2 was 96th with episode 1 98th.
In 16-39 it was 133rd and 172nd! - recording no viewers is some markets in that age group.
Can’t blame the audience TBH, the drama itself is not compelling enough to watch. Perhaps if it was something that was more relatable to the everyday Australian then it might be appealing. At the moment the premise itself seems to be unrealistic and the storyline is confusing and unstructured.
As for The Block, can’t wait for more of the McDonald’s, Alexa and Monopoly product placement to bombard the audience left right and centre this series, not to mention the ‘shutdown’ which they will milk to death and the audience will lap it all up as they always do.

Either way, of course I agree with all criticisms about the format/host. I’ll be very surprised if the latest incarnation of Family Feud isn’t bumped after two weeks like Takeaway Reheated was back in April.
The last nail in the coffin would surely have to be moving it to Sundays (where apart from Masterchef and I’m a Celebrity they’re hardly competitive at all) at very short notice?
They obviously thought that Masked Singer (which if we are being honest, is underperforming compared to last season) would do well to anchor Monday/Tuesdays but if they wanted to air something else on Sunday, at least let it be something that can anchor the night rather than a failed show like Family Feud.
I understand that, but AFL doesn’t always work for Seven now. We’ve seen AFL matches before the news yet we’ve also seen viewers switching to Nine afterwards.
It helps when the scores are very close and the game finishes as close as possible to 5.59pm.

81,000 for the delayed broadcast of West Coast v GWS on 7mate in Perth seems a bit low. You would think that given the Eagles’ current form, any match featuring the team should be pretty popular in the city regardless of the time of the day.
Only 70k-odd though for the live game in Adelaide on the main channel over the weekend, featuring the Adelaide Crows playing one of their better performances of the year. In comparison a far worsening result.
