Nine was the big winner with the return of The Block – up almost 4 points on the previous week. That saw all other networks lose 1 point each. Nine won along the east coast with Seven winning in Adelaide and Perth (where 7 Mate was in double figures).

The Block launch of 947,000 compared to 993,000 last year and 1.16 million in 2018. It’s the lowest launch episode since season 10 in January 2015 that went up against the AO.

Seven’s Farmer WAW was steady while Family Feud dropped almost 40k to below 300,000. 60 Minutes revered the result last week to easily beat 7News Spotlight in the the post reality timeslot.

Seven News Melbourne managed to lead over Nine

Stronger ratings than I expected for The Block.
Will probably keep these numbers for the majority of the system.

AFL would’ve been a factor.

You have to wonder what 10 were thinking with these Family Feud specials, sure it’s a nice idea… but the format and host haven’t been successful for some time and they even went to the effort of building a brand new set for the show. Madness

MotoGP doing well on Sunday evenings, possibly even out-rating whatever aired on 10 post 9:30pm.

Should’ve saved all that money to invest in news.

Ouch and no Australian Open against it.

The Moto GP Post Show ranked 29th with FBI 32nd.

Not a good result for just the second episode of 7News Spotlight. It ranked 12th in 25-54 below Nine’s Late News.

I watched it last night and found the show too long /slow paced and for some reason not as exciting as I remembered it. The networks need to rethink game shows, most of them now don’t stand on their own and might do better in later slots. I know they are typically family friendly shows but I can imagine that a 30 minute episode of Family Feud might do better off the back of The Masked Singer or Bachelor.

@TV.Cynic: Are the pay TV demo figures a new set of data you can now post each day or is there a reason why they’ve been posted today?

New feature that I’ve added starting today. They have been available before, just not ever included in reports.

Even though the entire game was delayed by 3 hours! Good result. Western Australia have to be the most localised footy mad territory, if that makes sense, like proportionally.

Noticed this too, interesting. Thank you

From Nine

THE BLOCK RETURNS AS DOMINANT NO.1 PROGRAM WITH ALL KEY DEMOS

The Nine Network was No.1 on Sunday across the 5 City with People 25-54 , People 16-39 and Total People ( 31.7% ).

The Block was Australia’s No.1 program with People 25-54, People 16-39 and GS + Child.

The Block was a timeslot winner across the 5 City and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

9News Sunday was the No.1 program of the night across the East Coast and in Sydney.

Unfortunately, The revival of Family Feud specials didn’t work. Two weeks in and the show continued to lose audience. Look at the diabolical figures – beaten by The Block, Farmer Wants a Wife, Vera. CHannel 10 cannot afford to lose ratings.

thats dire for family feud. should be pulled by the end of the day. to get 293k in one of the highest rating slots of the week during a pandemic is test pattern territory, and would suggest people are actively reaching for the remote to tune out.

there should be a decent audience up for grabs for those that are not into the reality tv on 7&9 but want some light entertainment, so i can’t see any excuses for it.

I’d like them to build MOM (which is on 10ACCESS) either at Sunday 7:30 or 8:30 with double eps

LOL

Family feud wasn’t brought back to be a ratings hit. It was brought back to fill a hole. It was cheap and easy to produce. I am assuming that the money they giveaway can be claimed as a donation as well

@TV.Cynic Sorry to pester (last one from me I promise ), were Between Two Worlds (9:45pm and 10:45pm first run eps) just as bad as total people or even worse in the key demos)?

I think a couple of weeks back you mentioned BTW performed so disappointingly in key demos, it was outranked by multiple multi-channel programs in the key demos, even total people!

Mom already airs on 10 Peach, and isn’t exactly setting the world on fire and very likely wouldn’t do any better at an earlier time on the main channel.

The first 21 episodes are available on stream on 10 Play, they are not on 10 All Access.
