With wins along the east coast and Adelaide, Nine has an easy win to start the week. It was helped by The Block recording a season high up against a lacklustre performance from the Australia’s Got Talent Grand Final and no competition from elsewhere. The AGT final rated lower than the first four Sunday episodes of the series and compared to the 2017 GF on Nine that had 961,000 for the winner and 785,000 for the show. For the 2013 series it was 1,165,000 and 1,391,000. 60 Minutes was also a clear winner for Nine.

Elsewhere, Ambulance Australia was in cardiac arrest and Les Norton hit a season low.

With figures like these it is hard to see AGT returning next year.
10 is just marking time on Sundays with Ambulance Australia compilation show and Graham Norton Show from next week. Once The Block finishes next month, I am sure 10 will put The Amazing Race in the 7.30pm timeslot.
9GO!'s movie double (Rambo and Back to the Future) rated well, extending Nine’s winning margin.

With figures like that, however, it is Seven’s biggest and most consistent success of 2019.

Sunday’s have been a problem all year for 10. They’ll need to fix it for 2020 with a new strategy as nothing seems to work for them. They’re not doing any favors relying solely on one show at 7:30 to prop up the night. They need almost 3 shows to try and be respectable. Failed US dramas are not going to work.

Survivor was doing well in that slot. I think 10 need to look at doing a Sunday night talk show again.

Why are 10 wasting premium sports (MotoGP) on SD Channel 10 Bold

Seriously, does anyone there know what they are doing?

Ahh yes aside from that but their Sunday shares were still way too low. It’s as though ten are off air from Friday 8:30-Monday.

Hardly premium (no other network would want it) and wouldn’t rate on the main channel.

More premium than anything else they have and it surely would do better than 130k shown in HD on their main channel

And considering what the highest rating program was on 10 last night - it would be worth the risk

There was no hype for AGT because there was no viewer involvement until the last 15 mins of the finale. Nobody wants to see judges make every single decision up until the top 4. Tacky emotionless pre-recorded winner announcements too did not make the show peak any higher for that moment.

10 need a new strategy on Sunday Nights. With AUstralian SUrvivor and THe Bachelor Australia wrapped up, the ratings have gone down. This week will be very hard for Ten as this week, Channel Seven has the lead up to the AFL Grand Final, while Nine has The Block and NRL Preliminary Final. But still 10 have Gogglebox on Thursday Nights.

No. 3 in 16-39s multi channels, rather odd for a heavily Over 55s channel isn’t it?

Plus its the third reboot of the series in about 5 years…

I’m pretty sure that they will have The Masked Singer on Sunday next week? They just obviously didn’t want to launch it against the finale of another talent show.

Nine will be happy with last night’s ratings for The Block, but will The Masked Singer on Ten outrate it tonight?

Australia’s Got Talent won’t return to our screens next year with barely over 750k metro viewers for the “Winner Announced” portion.

While not quite at “The Super Switch” or “The Proposal” levels of embarrassment, surely Seven would’ve wanted AGT to average at least 800k viewers across the series with around 900k for the finale?

Next Sunday, there is Wales v Wallabies. Sunday Oct 6 is NRL Grand Final day on Nine. I can’t see The Masked Singer go against NRL GF as it will be beaten heavily by Nine.

Yeah. Sunday Night Rove Takeaway for 2020.

I wonder if Tuesday would’ve been better? As the Brownlow Medal is on tonight, draws a huge 600k in Melbourne alone (10’s strongest market in terms of raw reality show ratings). At least it’s during the Blue Carpet, before the actual ceremony.

Hopefully Masked Singer pulls massive ratings, 10 need a new hit and was wondering if it’d do 1m+ with all the promotion. The network’s had great momentum with two months of good ratings and publicity with Bachelor and Survivor.

Wouldn’t surprise me. But thinking someone new.
