Nine was eight points clear to record another easy Sunday victory. ABC News posts 5% share its highest since early January’s bushfire coverage. Nine won all markets except Perth where Seven was narrowly ahead.

Note that numbers for many shows will need to be adjusted due to breaking news disrupting broadcast times.

Huge results for News with 6pm bulletins recording levels not seen on a Sunday regularly since 2015 and five programs recording more than 1 million viewers. The preliminary number for Married At First Sight was on par with the previous Sunday while Dancing With The Stars is down slightly.

Seven’s last AFL game for a while helped Seven News Melbourne to a huge number.

The news bulletins on Nine, Seven and ABC were all up on last Sunday. Seven’s coronavirus special was very competitive against MAFS.

I take it Grand Designs is the David Speers special.

Huge thirst for news last night.

Those ABC News multi-channel numbers! Wow!

Thank you for reminding of this, 60min ran to about 30min over-run! Tuned in at 9:30pm for the coronrvirus special and gave up after 20min of watching that horrible Gerry Harvey segment (which was universally and heavily panned)

There was no such game on yesterday!?

Edit: OK, I have worked it out now. This was actually the North Melb v St Kilda mens AFL game.

Yes most Seven and Nine programming ran 30 minutes over in all states except WA. So for example Border Security 767,000 would be the last 30 minutes of 7 News Special while The Good Doctor 539,000 would be partially Border Security.

Though no changes to ABC line-up as the PM conference was not shown on the main channel.

He is the retail equivalent of Sky News After Dark. He is a classified right wing nut job. Not to mention his arrogance and selfishness.

Clean sweep of the top 20 multichannels audience to ABC. Not sure if that’s happened before.

Seven News Melbourne will be very thankful for that AFL leadin otherwise that would have been a disastrous figure.

7 did well last night but that extra hour of news (which they can do since they have a good reality offering pushing it out) made all the difference to the ratings share - guaranteeing 1 million viewers for another 1.5hrs-ish compared to 7.

ABC News Channel has been superb. Deserved figures.

ABC2/Kids/Comedy usually dominates that Top 20 list with kids shows. Not seen it dominated by ABC News before

For only the second time this year, Seven has a primetime show that rated above 1 million. Very impressive and from what I saw it was very well done last night.

Good to see ABC’s Stateless holding up well (on a crisis day/night like yesterday too)

From Nine:
60 MINUTES * Highest rating episode in almost five years (July 5, 2015).

NINE NEWS * Highest rating bulletin in more than two years (December 3, 2017).

10 provided a time adjusted rating for DWTS of 477,000.

ABC news also topped all the key demos for multi-channels too! I wonder how the network did overall in the demographics, probably gave 10 and Seven a run for their money!! Good that young viewers are as keen for coronavirus information.

Big night for MAFS. It’s rated very consistently this season around the 1-1.2 million mark, however hasn’t had the peaks of the previous season yet.

Border Security did very well. Maybe shows like this will gain interest again after disasters like this. They gained popularity after 9/11 and Schapelle Corby when we had increased airport securtity. We’ve heard so much abut flights and airports closing that maybe people just seem more interested. What would be really interesting is if any of these airport shows have been filming at any of these airports during these times. That would be very interesting.

ABC24 got a massive boost during the bush fires as well. Personally during this crisis I see enough of it all day long on social media etc so I’m trying to keep away from the rolling coverages and just get the main updates in the nightly news.

That’s still pretty good numbers for Border in that timeslot.
