Nine was back with another big win to start the last official ratings week before the Easter 2-week break. Seven was more competitive up a big 3 points to its best Sunday in five weeks. Meanwhile 10 was steady while ABC and SBS lost audience.

Nine won the key demos plus all markets except Perth that was won again by Seven.

News numbers were up on Sunday with both 6pm bulletins above 1 million for the first time this year. But Married At First Sight held onto its number one position high with a season high 1.1 million, up 20k from last Sunday. However, 60 Minutes that followed slipped to its lowest number for five weeks.

For Seven, Ivan Milat Buries Secrets was up slightly week-on-week while the afternoon’s AFL gave 7 News a boost in Melbourne (subject to time adjustment due to late start).

For 10, The Amazing Race picked up 30k from last Sunday to its best audience in four weeks.

10’s 5pm News plus 9’s late News each were up though Seven’s special Sydney bulletin was announced too late to get an OzTAM listing.

Alicia still competive in Melbourne even going up against Footy leadin. Nine should put something more compelling on the leadin (vs repeats of Coppers) and they could probably take Melbourne.

Would have expected more for 60 thought the Cairns story would have had a bit of pull.

The obvious concern for the 7 News brand is when these big state specific events happen, they turn to 9 to get the info. Overton miles ahead.

Nine News won in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide (even the AFL started), while Seven News won in Melbourne and Perth comfortably.
Ivan Milat doco gained ratings from last week.

Highest numbers for MAFS this year.

Even with Seven News and Nine News up over 1m with the flood news, Married still topped them both and even Melbourne’s audience managed to be the most watched program in the country. Still such a powerhouse!

Surprised the Ivan Milat show grew its audience, promos must’ve worked, add to that during the AFL coverage this time around, which also helped Seven News win Melbourne and Perth (the latter’s AFL audience was big).

I’m guessing some of that “Equalizer 2” number in Sydney is for the flood news special (15-20min?)

The Ivan Milat special got a late boost but overall the ratings were disappointing.
7flix’s share was slightly higher than last Sunday partly thanks to Ultimate Tag.

And First Dates (which also outrated its lead-in first run Ultimate Tag in key demos, at a cool $1m price tag per ep apparently!)

No surprise that Nine smashed it in Sydney last night what with those high ratings for a severe weather-dominated 6pm news + Married At First Sight!

Average figures for Part 2 of the Ivan Milat special on Seven. Would the network have received better ratings (probably not MAFS-beating stuff, but still…) if it was bumped to after 9.30pm in Sydney/NSW so more floods coverage could air?

I’m always happy (and impressed) when Landline makes an appearance in the top 20 (which is quite regularly), especially for a show that airs at 12.30pm in the arvo. Shows people watch tv during the day when its of good quality.

What happened to Seven’s Flood special? I don’t see it in the Top 20.

It’s mentioned here.
