Nine was back on top on Sunday night as Lego Masters easily won at 7pm and was the number one entertainment show. The show was up from the previous Sunday against Seven’s Dancing WTS final.

MasterChef also got a boost with 10 recording its highest Sunday share of the survey with all primetime shows up week-on-week.

Without the Dancing final, Seven’s share was 5 points down with Big Brother slipping to a season low – and the lowest audience so far for the franchise on Seven - though still doing well in the key deo groups.

ABC also got an audience boost with Spicks and Specks up 90k from last week.

Interesting how NRL leadin Seven News gets destroyed in Sydney but AFL leadin in Melbourne Alicia still hangs on. Doesn’t say much about the 7 News brand

Wakefield has flopped hard. The mental health storylines might be hard to watch but putting all the episodes on iview weeks earlier didn’t help.

Despite the NRL, seven news won over nine News inn brisbane.
Afl was number 1 show in Perth thanks to western derby.
It was close between nine news and seven news in Adelaide. Nine news just won over seven by a small margin.
Lego masters won in its 7pm timeslot in all cities except adelaide where it fell to ABC News.

I think Seven would be a bit disappointed with last night, considering all the shows leading-in and promos during the week, but with how last week’s ratings went (strong key demos but not so total people), can’t say it’s surprising, they’d probably take the demographic results, only thing is though Lego smashed them last night and MC did better too.

Notice multi-channels looked strong last night, some still not satisfied with the main channel offerings? Seven look to have solved 7Two’s long-running problem, returning Border re-runs were it previously did massive a couple of years ago.

Big Brother is on its way to flopsville.

looks like lego masters is really pulling ahead, compared to last weeks 3 horse race. How many more episodes are there? the next question is where do those viewers go when the show finishes. Celeb apprentice has a patchy success history at best.

These days overnight ratings are not the be all and end all. ABC will also consider timeshifted ratings and iview stats in analysing the show’s reach.

The AFL didn’t give Seven News as much boost in Melbourne and Perth as Seven had hoped for.

7mate topped the multichannels thanks to the umpteenth screening of Kingsman movie.

It’s hard to find any positives for Wakefield’s ratings. It didn’t show up in any of the VPM iView reports as doing well and last week’s episode with the addition of 7-day consolidated, still missed the top 20 shows with a 7-day rating of 243,000 (overnight 193,000).

Last night it rated lower and ranked 24th overall in total people. In 25-54 it was 65th.

People aren’t liking the contrived BB in year 2 !
3rd in the time slot.
Doing what I said it would.

Lego smashes the competition. Great episode last night!

Seven would be hoping Big Brother doesn’t slip any further, placing third in it’s timeslot and nearly 300k behind Lego!

I wondered if BB didn’t finish until after 8:40pm last night (about 8:48pm in Melbourne) because of Kingsman on 7mate not starting until about 8:50pm?

As 7mate movie was featured in Seven’s 15sec line-up transition thing before CIA started. Also, at least in Melbourne, it looks like an error or maybe it was intentional, after BB end credits split-screen the line-up didn’t come on right before CIA, instead going to about 1min of ad breaks (good way to lose audience).

I am not surprised that people are tiring of the current format when every episode basically follows the same script. The lack of public interaction doesnt help either.

I know it’s already been said, but wow Seven News was absolutely smashed by Nine in Sydney last night. 108k very well could be the widest gap we’ve seen between the two so far this year?

Once upon a time 800k on a Sunday would be nothing to brag about.

yep, It was only 7 years ago that Celebrity Splash got 1.3mil and was branded the ‘blunder of the year’ and had the format edited down to just 3 eps and the finale was burned off late on a Thursday.

now half of those numbers are considered a success. makes you wonder where we will be 7 years from now.

NRL lead-in certainly helps Nine News Sydney, but nonetheless a big gap between the two news services.
