The Voice launched to a similar number to last season (1,029,000) but was lower than Lego Masters. That saw House Rules and MasterChef improve week on week. 10Bold got a boost from the soccer final (with some adjustments needed for the penalty shoot-out) - that gave 10 its highest Sunday share of the survey while Nine recorded its lowest.

Eurovision: SBS coded a “winner announced” segment into the morning numbers for the first time making comparisons to previous years difficult. The main part of the morning program rated lower than last year while the prime time replay was higher ranking at 21st place.

Insiders smashing many prime time shows with its post election post mortem.

Eurovision boosted the SBS share but thet would have done better if it started at 7.30pm. It finished way too late and out of prime time.

10’s fasttracked CBS special on Meghan and Harry flopped big time.

Ten are eager to had over big money for Grand Final that rates 263,000?

It wasn’t on Ten’s main channel…

I expected voice to launch to lower numbers - great result for 9. Three reality premiers over the million mark this far.

Singing might just be a great alternative to dating and cooking and the voice could hang in there. Still think of all the reboots Aus Idol could do well at the end of the year. It’s the only genre not over Saturated.

10 should’ve used the opportunity to air the Hawke telemovie before this special, might’ve been a bit more interest in that than the umpteenth royal special.

From 10:

The A-League Grand Final ran over by 47 minutes, audience numbers are based on confirmed times. Due to the overrun, Cops: Adults Only did not air, the OzTAM numbers recorded against this show are attributable to the A-League coverage.

#1 across its confirmed timeslot among the multi-channels

So you are saying that some people wouldn’t watch it because it was on 10Bold but would have watched it if it was on 10? Some people are really really really stupid if that is the case.

Whether a program is on a primary channel or multichannel has no influence on whether I’m going to watch it or not.

The Voice starts off well.

Masterchef up and House Rules doing well.

Yep, it’s called HD. I try and avoid (where I can) watching sport in SD. I would love for 10 to offer Bold in HD, I’d definitely watch more of the few sports they have.

Both the ABC News Channel and Sky had big days yesterday - Paul Murray’s program even outrated both AFL games shown on Fox Footy

While I agree with you, people tend to gravitate towards the main channels.

The A-League Grand Final match drew 73k on 10Bold in Perth. It was a very close match between Perth Glory and the Sydney FC at Optus Stadium with these sides going into extra time.

If you ask me, The Voice failing to score over the magic 300k mark in Sydney on a Sunday night less than two weeks out from Winter is something that should be spine chilling to Nine Network executives.

Only being 20k in front of Seven at 6pm would also be a major concern, even if yesterday’s Sunday Afternoon NRL match was between two teams (Sharks & Sea Eagles) who probably aren’t the most liked in Western Sydney where quite a lot of the game’s support base is.

I think the Voice will drop in a couple of weeks and House Rules will build and win the timeslot most nights. Shows that even after a rocky start, it’s worth hanging in there. I guess that’s been the HR story from the very first series.
