Seven was again the winner on Sunday, though down from the previous week. Nine was steady while 10 recorded its highest Sunday share of the survey. ABC and SBS were down.

Nine won along the east coast with Seven winning Adelaide and Perth. In Perth Seven’s share was well over 40% thanks to late finishing AFL while 10 ranked ahead of Seven in Melbourne.

In 25-54 there was just one percent between the three commercials with Seven fist ahead of 10 then Nine. In 16-39, 10 was 7 points clear of second placed Seven.

MasterChef posted its highest audience since launch with 1.15 million. That saw Murder In The Outback down from the previous week.

The Grand Final of The Voice had 911,000 for the main portion of the program with the Winner’s Announcement lower at 871,000. That is the singing competitions lowest final result ever and compares to 995,000 / 1,036,000 for last year. The final made the top 5 in all three key demos.

Later in the night 60 Minutes was even with last week while The Latest managed 490,000. Vera did well for ABC with almost 600k against tough competition.

Seven News recorded its second highest Sunday audience of the year.

Massive Melbourne audience for Masterchef.
Even Seven News Melbourne scored a nice win against Nine.

Seven won the night despite a drop for Murder in the Outback. It thrashed The Voice and MasterChef in Perth.
The Melbourne audience for the news was massive - highest Sunday bulletin for the year so far.
Melbourne’s audience for MasterChef was also the highest since launch.

Ouch. Not a good result for The Voice Final (and for The Winner Announcement segment too).

A drop in Seven’s Outback show, but Seven still won the night.

Good result fpr MasterChef.

ABC News did well for its daytime programs

I’m surprised the WA Derby didn’t make the Top 20 multichannels for 7mate… (or was on it 7?)

The WA Derby was on Seven in Perth. As posted elsewhere, when the match finished at 6.50pm local time, Seven went straight to the news (rather than at 7pm as scheduled) followed by Murder in the Outback at 7.30pm and The Latest at 9.30pm.

I don’t think this is for the local ‘derby’ between Fremantle and West Coast. @TV.Cynic

That game was “SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL” that was the number 1 show in perth and 22nd overall nationally.

Oh, so coded as “AEST”, even though it aired in Perth during the afternoon/twilight!. Thanks for that info though, that’s huge considering what the Seven News Perth number is (and that was the lead-out this time).

Massive audience for MasterChef with numbers pretty much back to where they were at the beginning of the season. Impressive given it’s been airing for more than 3 months. Tonight’s finale should be huge especially given it won’t have The Voice as competition.

Pretty weak finale for The Voice. It seemed to lose viewers as it went on?

Murder in the Outback seems to do well at sustaining Seven News audience but the numbers are not in the demos.

hopefully those numbers make another season of The Voice unviable. worst show on tv.

Probably will go again based on the whole season’s ratings. Funny how Winner Announced rated lower than the show. Why do they keep splitting shows into segments?

Noteworthy:

No. 21 aired in five cities on Ch 9 / 9Gem.

No. 22 aired in one city, a small market and was actually in the afternoon.

I find that extraordinary.

edit TV Cynic has clarified this below.

Nine doesn’t aggregate its multichannel number with the main channel - so it is 2 markets - no 9Gem.

Oh, didn’t realise, fair enough then. But I assume with the 9Gem additions, the changes (if any) would be very minimal?

Another good figure for Masterchef and Murder in the Outback. I couldn’t watch it again. It was way too slow last week, repeated itself too often and after looking into the case completely and purposely missed crucial parts of evidence in the case. Clearly they want click bait stories. It turns me off future 7 investigations.

The Voice was lacklustre. However, the show is all about the Blinds. The show will return next year. I think they should look at 4 Australian coaches though.
