The Data may not be reproduced, published or communicated (electronically or in hard copy) in whole or in part, without the prior written consent of OzTAM. “Overnight” figures include “Live” (programs broadcast during the 2am-2am broadcast day) and “As Live” (programs recorded and then watched within the same broadcast day). “Consolidated” figures include Live, As Live and “Time Shift” (programs recorded and then watched within seven days of the initial broadcast).

Nine’s network share topped 40%, the first time for any network in 2021 as Married At First Sight concluded it season.

Seven stayed competitive while 10’s filler programming landed the network’s lowest overnight share of the year with the main channel below SBS’s.

The Married final was just short of 1.4 million. That compares to the 2020 final that had 1.481 million and 2019 that had 1.977 million. It now ranks ahead of the Meghan and Harry interview in overnight numbers.

Dancing on Seven with 621,000 was down from the premiere episode’s 744k.

The premiere of ABC’s Wakefield managed 300k with the whole season having been released on iView.

Mafs finale was slightly down from last year. However, nine won in all markets and demos.
Big gap between nine news and spicks And specks.

Seven would be happy that DWTS has stayed above the 600k mark.

While it’s clearly got crap demos it’s at least giving 7 a very much needed Total People bump.

Ten may I suggest next year you find a 3 week reality show you can run. Even Bachelor in Paradise would’ve offered some demo to you even in catch up.

MAFS finale rated higher than the combined total of DWTS and Spicks and Specks.

With no AFL lead-in (live telecast of Crows v Dockers finished at 3.30pm local time), Seven News lost to Nine News in Adelaide.

Even with AFL as the lead in Adelaide on Sundays, nine has been winning.

Perhaps Seven should adjust the roster of main presenter Jane Doyle to instead read the bulletin from Sunday to Thursday, as a way of trying to gain more viewers?

Sunday nights are a problem for Seven News Adelaide.

Not much to talk about with 10’s schedule last night but that’s some good retention from the 5pm to 6pm bulletin, extending Saturdays should really be a no brainer.

Maybe the ABC should have saved the premiere of Wakefield for next week. I didn’t mind it but it’s a show you have to concentrate on whereas MAFS appeals to the mindless masses.

Almost 1.4 million for MAFS. It will be interesting tonight for LEGO, MC & DWTS

And the ABC should have made the series available on iView only after the first episode had aired, rather than having them available on Good Friday.

It certainly affects TV ratings when the whole season was available two weeks earlier. You don’t see reality shows stream before screening and that’s why they dominate.

Or they should relaunch SA Weekender so that they have a first-run local show as the lead-in? Seven’s weekend losses in Adelaide can only be attributed to Warburton’s decision to axe all lifestyle and travel shows which have a loyal audience and dumping popular presenters like Jessica Adamson and Tim Noonan. I have a feeling the local team at Adelaide would’ve hated those decisions but just couldn’t overrule network overheads.

If Warburton didn’t call for the axe I reckon Seven would still be pretty dominant on weekends as it always has until late last year.

10, LOL.

Dancing with the Stars on the decline as the show progresses

Those Channel 10 ratings and shares for their main channel are just pitiful, beaten by SBS. Coming into colder weather and yet another day they programme nothing, except seemingly endless news. Part of me wants Masterchef to flop badly so they learn not to put all their eggs in one basket and stop relying on one key show to bail them out all the time and think its okay to not programme for a seven day schedule.

Wakefield will no doubt drop further. I guess the ABC was right to dump it on streaming first so they can have an in built justification for terrible ratings.

Channel 10. Diabolical.
Didn’t they have Dancing With the Stars until recently? Seems like a poor decision, in hindsight, to let it go back to Seven. Would have at least provided filler content and half a decent audience.

10’s nature doco rated lower than the movie on 7mate and a NCIS rpt on 10Bold.
They may as well have run test pattern, or a still slide with “MasterChef Starts Tomorrow 7.30”.

That is something that needs to be done in Vic outside of AFL where Alicia creams them
