The penultimate episode of The Floor ‘s second season was Sunday’s highest rated entertainment program averaging 853k. However, that was down 100k on last Sunday’s 965k and Monday’s 947k. The 1% Club on Seven wasn’t far behind with 840k, also down 60k on last week.

On 10, MasterChef saw the start of Around the World Week with 609k tuning in to be up slightly on last Sunday. The Assembly featuring Dave Hughes on ABC gathered just 401k down from 528k to a season low.

And on a big day for SBS the Eurovision Grand Final Live broadcast featuring Delta Goodrem had 464k morning viewers. The other entries for SBS from the morning represent a slight overrun of the telecast that will be adjusted later. Then, in primetime the Access All Areas repeat broadcast of over 4 hours averaged just 167k.

With Australia in the grand final this year the morning rating was up considerably on last year’s 284k. In prime time last year the audience was about the same with 167k. The 2024 results were 209k and 226k. The result also compared to 2016 when Dami Im competed and 536k watched (1.4m reach) in prime time and 394k in the morning.

Later, 60 Minutes slumped to 549k to be just ahead of 7NEWS Spotlight on 535k. That represented a 250k drop in audience from the previous broadcast . Episode four of Bad Company slipped to a season low of 319k while Race Across The World slipped to 166k to just make the top 30.

Some true crime aired later. Catching my Stalker premiered on Nine to 267k while Child Snatchers: A Day At The Fair premiered on Seven to 240k.

Sunday Footy NRL saw a win for the Warriors over the Broncos that pre-empted Nine News in Sydney and Brisbane by 4 minutes and had 640k, up 50k. St Kilda beat Richmond in afternoon AFL with West Coast winning at home against GWS.

Nine News had its first Sunday win in five weeks though in NRL states the late start may see the ratings adjusted.

In the morning Insiders made the top 10 while Weekend Sunrise dropped below 400k but stayed +100k ahead of Weekend Today from Brisbane.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON NRL SCORES ITS HIGHEST SUNDAY BVOD GAME IN VOZ HISTORY

  • 9News was the No. 1 news program across Australia with Total People and all key demos. It also won with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The combined national bulletins registered a National Total TV Reach of 2.248 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.317 million - up +4.9% on last year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD audience of 227,000 - up by an impressive +102.7% year-on-year.

  • The Floor was the No.1 Entertainment program with Total People and all key demos across Australia and in Sydney and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.742 million , a Total TV National Audience of 853,000 and a BVOD audience of 148,000 - up +33.3% year-on-year.

  • 60 Minutes won its timeslot with Total People and all key demos across Australia. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.326 million and a Total TV National Audience of 549,000 . It secured a BVOD audience of 90,000 - up +63.6% year-on-year.

  • Sunday Afternoon NRL claimed its highest Sunday game for BVOD in VOZ history. It dominated its timeslot with Total People and all key demos across Australia. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.364 million and a Total TV National Audience of 640,000 - up +42.9% on last year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD audience of 143,000 - an increase of +180.4% year-on-year.

  • Weekend Today was the No.1 breakfast show with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 835,000 , a Total TV National Audience of 275,000 - up 4.2% on last year and a BVOD audience of 48,000 - up +45.5% year-on-year.

  • The 9Network was the No.1 network on Sunday across the 5 City Metro with People 25-54 and 16-39.

  • 9Now was the No.1 CFTA BVOD Platform on Sunday across Australia with People 25-54 and 16-39.

There was also a game in the late morning in WA. Bombers vs Freo. I assume that match would of had a seperate ratings code given it’s not ‘afternoon footy’

The morning live telecast of Eurovision Song Contest grand final rated very well.

Many of my fellow Delta Goodrem fans woke up early specifically to watch the broadcast.

The morning Live Edition of Eurovision did well for SBS. In prelim numbers, huge numbers for Destination Flavour Bitesize (aka Live Results of Eurovision) at 8.50am. A dip that followed for the Cycling Highlights at 9am.

The evening edition didn’t do that well.

Great numbers for The Floor and The 1% Club Aus.

Just a preview of the World Cup.

Starting June 12, the breakfasts can kiss their ratings goodbye.

W Sunrise won all markets except Sydney.

The Floor was the top metro pm program though results for the commercials were very variable.

1% and Spotlight did well, at least comparatively to Floor and 60mins which weren’t as high despite a big Nine News thanks to Magic Round NRL
