Seven wins Sunday for the first time in 4 weeks, though Nine’s main channel was number one. 10’s share drops as Family Feud can’t compete against reality shows – luckily 10 Bold recorded its highest Sunday share of the 2020 survey to help in 10’s network share.

Nine won in Sydney and Melbourne, Brisbane was a tie with Seven winning in Adelaide and Perth (helped by double digit share for 7Mate). Nine won the demos.

Ninja SOS had a narrow win at 7pm with similar results to the recently finished Ninja Warrior series. Farmer Wants A Wife was up 40k on the previous week to its highest result since the launch episode as Family Feud could only manage 330k.

7News Spotlight got off to a good start, taking a lot of viewers off 60 Minutes that posted its lowest audience of the year. Between Two Worlds was 35th - even with the previous week’s number.

6pm news numbers were down on the last couple of months.

Seven won the night thanks to 7News Spotlight and AFL coverage on 7mate in Perth. However, 7News Spotlight was well beaten by 60 Minutes in Melbourne.
The first of 10 Family Feud specials didn’t start well.

It was pretty obvious FF was never going to work on Sundays, not sure why 10 panicked and shifted it to an arguably tougher night.

Yeah it won all markets except Melbourne, I’d say because it was heavily focusing on Melbourne topics (particularly the COVID issue which was their top story)

In other news, Seven News Melbourne won the night. And Nine News Adelaide again just on the tail of Seven.

FF dead on arrival.

Family Fued - not so good!

A rare appearances by The Sunday Footy Show into the top 20

From Seven:

The Seven network won on Sunday night thanks to the strong performance of Farmer Wants A Wife and 7NEWS Spotlight The Lindy Tapes.

From Nine:

NINE WINS SUNDAY WITH ALL KEY DEMOS AND TOTAL PEOPLE

The Nine Network was No.1 on Sunday across the 5 City with People 25-54 People 16-39 ( 32.5% ) and GS + Child.

Nine was the No.1 primary channel across the 5 City with People 25-54, People 16-39 , GS + Child ( and Total People.

Australian Ninja Warrior: State of Origin was Australia’s No.1 program of the night with People 25-54, People 16-39 and GS + Child.

Australian Ninja Warrior: State of Origin was a timeslot winner across the 5 City and across the East Coast, Melbourne and Brisbane.

9News Sunday was the No.1 program of the night across the East Coast and in Sydney and the No. 2 program of the night in Melbourne and Brisbane.

From 10

The Sunday Project 7pm:

  • #6 show in under 50s and 25 to 54s, #5 in 16 to 39s and 18 to 49s.
  • Up 35% in under 50s compared to its 2019 average, 45% in 16 to 39s, 30% in 25 to 54 and 29% in 18 to 49s.
  • The Sunday Project full hour: Up 34% compared to its 2019 average.

Family Feud:

  • #3 entertainment show in under 50s and all key age groups.

Family Feud needs a lead in. It might actually do OK in a later timeslot with The Masked Singer or The Bachelor as a lead in. It was never going to stand on it’s own.

Good result for the MotoGP on 10 Bold.

–

Seven coded Sunday AFL correctly this time with AFL in Perth listed (as it was 4pm day time), last time that was apparently coded seperate as “Sunday Night” even though that was only AEST not local WST time.

–

Seven News won Melbourne once again on Sunday, with the AFL lead-in, but it was very close again, despite the AFL finishing earlier than right on 6pm and being one-sided finishes in recent weeks.

AFL only fell into prime time for less than 30min in Perth.

60 Minutes started at nearly 9pm.

That’s deceiving.

Numpties at 10 at if again as usual. Asleep at the wheel

Agreed. The Masked Singer would’ve been much more competitive. Family Feud would’ve had a better chance of being successful on Tuesday or even Thursday.

Ouch for family fued that’s atrocious. 10 is falling apart again.

Now is the time to commission and rush the circle to air. Hotels are empty around the country, social distancing is built in - if the rights are available to grab they should go with it and do the live version

It’s the perfect show for covid times

Seven will be pleased that Farmer Wants a Wife tied with Australian Ninja Warrior in the total people ratings for Sydney.

As for Family Feud…oh dear! Not a positive sign for a show you’d have to imagine Ten would’ve been seriously thinking about moving back to 6pm weeknights on a permanent basis if this short run series was successful.

They can’t. Netflix has the rights to all versions of The Circle.

Besides the UK I assume

I don’t know what made them think it was going to be successful. It’s ratings were below 300k when it was cancelled. It had its group of diehard fans but no one else was interested. It was going to be a flop no matter where it aired IMO.

Yep.

I would love for a streaming service to pick up the rights to the UK version. I find YouTube to be a bit annoying.

Not sure this has been confirmed or if it includes Australia?
