The All New Monty bought viewers back to Seven last night but Nine still came out on top for the fifth week in a row on a Sunday. Seven was up +4 points, with Nine down almost 3. ABC, 10 and SBS slipped slightly. 10’s main channel posted its lowest Sunday share of the 2020 survey.

Nine won all markets except Perth. In Melbourne Nine won by 8 points. By contrast, in Perth, Seven was ahead by 13.

Nine’s 25-54 demo shares were +10 points ahead of Seven’s while 10 still managed to narrowly beat ABC.

The Block was an easy timeslot winner, despite extra competition from Seven and ABC. The Block improved its audience form the previous week. The debut of All New Monty compared to the last series that started with 764,000.

Freeman did fairly well for ABC after much promotion, though it couldn’t match recent numbers for British drama on previous Sundays. 60 Minutes rated lower than the previous week while Seven’s CI Australia was higher.

Without POO Seven becomes competitive again. All New Monty is a good show for a good cause and frankly deserves more.

The Block doing alright but still not hitting the 1 million mark for the reveals. Family Feud should be buried.

The All New Monty rated much better than Plate of Origin and came second behind The Block in 16-39 and 18-49 demo.

Great result for the Cathy Freeman doco on the ABC.

7Two let down Seven, rated in the 1% last Sunday too, I reckon they’ll remove whatever programs flopping.

Family Fued is completely embarrassing. Ten must be desperate to schedule it twice a week next week.

Just had a look at Family Feud’s ratings on TV Tonight. They’re getting down to Game of Games level of bad.

10 should’ve NEVER rescheduled the show for Sundays.

Probably would have just done as bad on tuesdays.

The Block did well last night. The all new Monty did alright for the cause. Will see if it holds up next Sunday. The Freeman doco did well for the ABC.

As for Family Feud,… terrible. Never going to work against the powerhouse pn the other networks.

Grant Denyer is already on the payroll and it’s filler content. 10CBS are willing to accept low ratings in the short term.

They could always schedule it for another night. Not Sundays.

So going by last night’s ratings, we can probably presume that the East Coast capitals would rather see houses stripped (and redesigned) while Adelaide & Perth prefers seeing clothes stripped?

Elsewhere, the ABC will be reasonably happy with their ratings for the Cathy Freeman special.

Didn’t quite happen, although going by last night’s appalling number I probably would expect Family Feud to be under 200k next week.

With unsustainably low figures like that, Ten needs to immediately bump the show to Friday and/or Saturday nights (where to be fair, it’d probably rate OK as an alternative to sport or oft-repeated movies on other networks) for the remainder of its run IMO!

I doubt they are willing to accept those ratings.

What would you expect it to do on another night?

Throwing MOM into the timeslot couldn’t do worse than Family Feud!

Crazy that 10’s 6pm news rated higher than Family Fued!

They should’ve have let it flounder in that slot, they could literally try anything - Drunk History, The Lindy Chamberlin documentary, repeats… a movie?

Drinking at 7:30 on commercial tv wouldn’t make parents or advertisers too happy. I also suspect not a lot of content is ready to go so isn’t as easy as you suggest. I have wondered why they didn’t just air ambulance repeats on tuesdays 7:30

Okay, so Drunk History possibly isn’t an option - but as we both suggested they could air repeats of something which would likely fare better. They have options, but they’re obviously persisting with this first run content in the short term until MasterChef Jnr starts later this month.

It probably looks better to potential advertisers though that 10 can offer new content even in an unprecedented pandemic. So the fact it’s rating less than a repeat show confidence in the product that is 10.
