STAN REVEALS SEPTEMBER 19 PREMIERE DATE FOR SONY PICTURES TELEVISION’S EPIC TIME-TRAVELLING ROMANTIC DRAMA “OUTLANDER: BLOOD OF MY BLOOD”

On the heels of the “Outlander” series finale, Stan and Sony Pictures Television celebrate World Outlander Day with a sneak peek of season two of the prequel series

Following last month’s epic series finale of “Outlander,” the “Outlander” universe continues to expand with season two of the critically acclaimed prequel series, “Outlander: Blood of my Blood”, premiering September 19th, only on Stan. Season one introduced viewers to the two different, but equally passionate, love stories of Claire’s and Jamie’s parents as they met and fought to be together against all odds. Longtime “Outlander” fans and newcomers were surprised to learn the impact and influence these two couples had in each other’s lives as their paths intersected.

The new teaser trailer features a first look at the action-packed upcoming season, which showcases the enduring love of the series’ two iconic lead couples and offers hope for survival amid a brewing war as they fight for each other and the future of the Highlands. After an unexpected journey back in time left Henry (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia (Hermione Corfield) Beauchamp lost and separated in the sweeping highlands of 18th century Scotland, season one culminated with the two finally reuniting at the standing stones of Craigh na Dun, hoping to return to their own time and their young daughter, Claire. The first glimpse at season two picks up at that moment and reveals a distraught Julia alone with their baby. Separated from his love and hope, Henry must grapple with his mental health, as he fights to find his way back to her.

Meanwhile, the forbidden relationship between Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) and Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) seemed to conquer all odds, but their romantic escape was cut short as fiery crosses were lit and the 1715 Jacobite Rising began, thrusting the clans into war. In season one, they chose each other over their families, but now they must prioritize their clan loyalties, as Brian fulfills his obligation to fight and Ellen seeks to make things right with her family.

As season two unfolds, the two young couples will be tested and separated once again by forces beyond their control, as every clan chooses a side in the rebellion.

Surprised it’s taking so long considering they already have experience with the tech via their sales deal with HBO.

$10 with ads is a decent value proposition for Stan.

Yes. I signed up to it last week.

Stan has a lot of Aussie content and unlike other streamers hasn’t dropped the series/movies after a few years. I have a lot to catch up on.

I’m currently watching Bump, No Activity and Invisible Boys. We make dome good shows in Australia but a shame they aren’t seen by a wider audience.

I can’t watch SD quality anymore which is the video quality Stan Basic offers. It makes me think it’s a very clever ploy to get people into the service and then have them upgrade soon after once they realise they can’t watch in HD.

A modern mermaid fable set to be the ultimate classic for a new generation starring Alexander England, Morgana O’Reilly, Katrina Milosevic, and Cariba Heine.

Stan, in association with BYUtv, the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF), and Screen Australia today announced that the enchanting new family feature film Scales has officially swum into production on the Queensland coast.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of coastal Queensland, Scales is an uplifting sun drenched modern mermaid fable exploring self-acceptance, friendship, and the courage it takes to stand out. Mira (Lizzie Violet) is a determined twelve-year-old whose ultimate dream is to secure a spot in the Silver Haven Mermaids, an elite artistic synchronised swimming team. However, navigating intense competitive trials, insecurities, and shifting family dynamics takes an unexpected turn when a secret wish manifests into unexpected, life-changing consequences, forcing Mira to balance her sporting goals and everyday life with an extraordinary new reality.

Created by Rachel Davis (Mustangs FC, Turn Up The Volume), written by Alix Beane (Surviving Summer, Mustangs FC) and directed by Kacie Anning (Class of ’07, Upload), the film features Cariba Heine in a highly anticipated, nostalgic return to the mermaid genre after her starring role in the globally iconic H2O: Just Add Water.
