Just odd to add the numbers, when in this sport you don’t just list by numbers unless that’s their squad number.
When is The Weekly Kick-Off recorded? Tonight’s episode included a chat with Jackson Irvine, who is at the Socceroos training camp in California. Considering the 17 hour time difference between California and Sydney, the interview would have taken place during daytime in Sydney.

Good question, actually.
This version of the Kick Off doesn’t need to be live, as the games they are covering aren’t necessarily directly before and after the shows airing.
Same goes when the show airs during the World Cup. Can be easily filmed at an earlier time.
I do wonder also how early it films?

Why on earth don’t they just embed sports tonight into the 5 PM as well. Just extend sport a little bit and remove some of the filler/repeat stories.. helps fill the hour, continues to rebuild the sports tonight brand into something that can be used standalone when they need it down the track. Also is a good alternate for male eyeballs. Who probably don’t watch the game shows at that time.
