Tomorrow morning’s matches

Friday January 2 (1930 GMT)
Semi-Finals

Luke Littler v Ryan Searle - can’t go part Littler in this one. Searle could pull off an upset, but Littler is on fire. Littler has won the last 4 matches against Searle head to head.
Gian van Veen v Gary Anderson - this one could go either way. Anderson has won 4 of their last 5 games head to head, but van Veen had the last win.

And there they are at the final.

And indeed they are. I’m only now just catching up because my router shat itself. $77 later and I’m back.

Friday January 2
Semi-Finals

Luke Littler 6-1 Ryan Searle (2-3, 3-0, 3-2, 3-0, 3-0, 3-0, 3-2)
Gian van Veen 6-3 Gary Anderson (1-3, 3-1, 3-2, 3-2, 3-2, 1-3, 2-3, 3-2, 3-2)

Saturday January 3 (2000 GMT - 0600 ADEST)
Final

Luke Littler v Gian van Veen - I’m picking Littler. He’s in damn fine form.

7-1. Simply unstoppable.

Damn straight. Luke Littler nuked Gian van Veen. Looking like the next Phil Taylor, and he wants it too.

Thank God this game was locked behind a paywall so that we’re spared from seeing it.

Miami edged past Ole Miss 31-27. With this result, they become the first team to play in a CFB national championship…

  • Without already winning a conference championship
  • At their home stadium

Also third year in a row a B1G team play for a natty and an SEC team doesn’t. It really doesn’t mean more.

It’s Indiana @ Miami for the CFP national championship. Tuesday, Jan 20 at 11.45am AEDT.

The other NY team today was on the wrong end.

Speaking of blowouts…
