Not seen this before, there’s a pub in Brisbane that has an electronic dartboard, I had to investigate and the tips on the darts are plastic. Phew!

They’re called soft tip darts. Very popular in Asia and parts of Europe.
The other type of darts that Luke Littler et. al use are called steel tip.

Speaking of darts…the World Series of Darts came to Wollongong (why? Bring it to Sydney!) this weekend and a fairy-tale finish nearly happened with Aussie qualifier Brody Klinge being beaten in the final by James Wade.

Why not? Shouldn’t regional cities deserve a chance to host international sporting events? Wollongong hosted the 2022 UCI Road World Cycling Championships.

I’m pretty sure they have done that. They have also been to Newcastle.

No they haven’t. They’re been to Sydney, Brisbane, Townsville, Melbourne and Perth.

There going there in October this year as well.
That’s not the World Series of Darts. That’s the local premier league of darts. I was referring to the World Series of Darts.
It’s the same thing to me hahaha.
Well it’s not. One is solely for local players, the other is for international players taking on local qualifiers.
Today marks one year to the 2027 Netball World Cup in Sydney.
Last Friday it was announced that Jane Fernandez would be the tournament CEO.

On one hand, he did bring the league back from the brink. On the other, he has sort of done dodgy deals with his own companies. They needs to be a fine balance, but some leeway given what he’s done.
It’s now official. The greatest volleyball match of all time and no one can say anything otherwise.
The first set alone was as long as a soccer match.
