Southern Cross Austereo (Regional)

Was it “never more than 4 ads in a row”? Or is that Star 104.5 I’m thinking of?

Hot Tomato launched with “Only ever 2 ads in a row”.

A slight variation to Nova.

I’ve hated the name from the start. That’s definitely one I won’t mind re-branding to KIIS or Edge or whatever.

Thank you for that explanation. Clever, but it solidifies my thinking that the name means nothing.

Just the same as the dozens of heritage AM stations with callsigns chosen based on the original owner.

So who will replace all shield on regional afternoons?

I’ve seen this pop up on SCA’s site.

Is this a newly created position or someone leaving?

Absolutely correct! I completely agree with you.

Since Mal Lees’ contract expired with Grants/Hot Tomato, what shifts and how often has he been heard on SCA’s Triple M Gold Coast (prev Gold 92.5)?

Gave Gippsland Triple M a listen today. They had a local female announcer on from 9:00 to 11:00. Then from 11:00 to 13:00 reverted to Guy from Albury. Then Rohin onwards. Does anybody know Rohin’s surname?

How do they get away with only two hours local?

Good.

They should at lest all be local breaky, then local 9:00 to 13:00 at least

If I could only have 2 local shifts, I’d go for brekky and drive rather than mornings. That way listeners have a better chance of catching up on the days local news in the late afternoon.

Agree, drive should be local. And can be done with 1 announcer
