Celina and Gemma are both at the ABC presenting and Vanessa is a Media Avisor to a NSW state Minister.
Wonder what this news means for Sky going forward:
Somehow I donât expect their brand of Anglocentric right wing commentary will transition well there
Iâd be getting out of Sky News too given itâs current state.
Itâs his creation.
Good to hear that he is leaving, hopefully he doesnât fuck up Sky News Arabia as they actually produce a good service
Intrigued to see who replaces him, hopefully they scrap all them politicians.
It was but if he was happy with the new direction, he wouldnât be fleeing.
But itâs his direction, his strategy.
Under owners Sky UK, Nine and Seven he was only answerable to the Australian News Channel board and probably had autonomy. Under News Corp he has management layers above him. Maybe he has lost the control he had??
Under whose instructions though? Heâs just deliverd what management wanted. May not be his personal choices though.
sat down to watch the 11am bulletin on sky this morning - the intro started than there was vision of the labor win with a strap and no presenter audio. after 5 mins we cut to turnbull⌠seems like a labor win has stuck in there crawâŚ
Following the lead set by todayâs Sunday Telegraph. By-election news didnât make the front page. You have to flick through several pages to find mention of it.
Of course it didâŚit doesnât suit Mr Murdoch.
By-election news appeared on page 2 of todayâs Sunday Herald Sun.
Sully picked it a couple of weeks ago that there was very little interest in these by-elections in Sydney and Melbourne.
Disagree. Thereâs huge interest given the ramifications for Turnbullâs leadership and the implications for the Liberals leading into the next election. Lead story on news bulletins in Sydney last night, front page coverage in Sydneyâs other Sunday newspaper the Sun-Herald, post-mortems on Sydney radio this morning. It just doesnât suit Murdochâs agenda to dwell on the fact the Liberals are losing support.
Yeah. We had Mark Riley give regular updates on Seven during the AFL last night, not sure if they were live, probably recorded some minutes in advance like usual, but they were market specific for some reason.
There is significant interest, itâs just that the results where not what News Corp wanted to they buried the story.
