Maybe extending to 2hours, he always talks about how he wishes he had another hour

James Bracey is leaving sky news after 13 years.

ā€¦and as a result, PM Live will expand into a two hour program next year

Surely cancellation is imminent.

Yet another big name leaving SKY News. Theyā€™ve lost so much experience this year. Are they jumping from a sinking ship because of the News Corp take over?

Iā€™d say so. I guess some saw the writing on the wall/were briefed about News Corpsā€™ future plans for the channel and didnā€™t want to take part in what essentially amounts to a propaganda operation.

PM Live rates pretty well. Itā€™s often in the Top 10 pay shows nightly and has helped make Sky News a top 10 rated pay network (out of 100 or so)

Iā€™m not surprised itā€™s going to 2 hours.

Iā€™m wondering if they will follow Sky UKā€™s lead and brand their sports coverage under Fox Sports News

The Sky News team including new signing Caroline Marcus has done a photoshoot for the January issue of Foxtel magazine. Laura Jayes has also revealed she is pregnant with her first child to Alex Hart of Seven News.

Wheres a spud gun when you need one? And why does angela have to appear in the photo? Hes who should have left long time ago.

Why is the former premier of NSW reading news headlines during the day? Shouldnā€™t a journo be doing that? Too many commentators, not enough reporters.

Thereā€™s bound to be someone here who thinks this is still better than Seven News Perth.

A lot of these ā€œlive crossā€ set-ups are pretty basic.

You donā€™t NEED to be a journalist to read headlines.

Usually itā€™s assumed you arenā€™t an ex-pollie with no autocue reading skills.

Well Ten certainly could use Speers in their Canberra Bureau

Fair enough, if she didnā€™t do it good.

Well, itā€™s official - a high school student news production in the US looks better than our Sky News

He has been made offers before, ABC in particular IIRC. Heā€™s either very well paid and/or happy at Sky.
