Sky News

Under whose instructions though? He’s just deliverd what management wanted. May not be his personal choices though.

sat down to watch the 11am bulletin on sky this morning - the intro started than there was vision of the labor win with a strap and no presenter audio. after 5 mins we cut to turnbull… seems like a labor win has stuck in there craw…

Following the lead set by today’s Sunday Telegraph. By-election news didn’t make the front page. You have to flick through several pages to find mention of it.

Of course it did…it doesn’t suit Mr Murdoch.

By-election news appeared on page 2 of today’s Sunday Herald Sun.

Sully picked it a couple of weeks ago that there was very little interest in these by-elections in Sydney and Melbourne.

Disagree. There’s huge interest given the ramifications for Turnbull’s leadership and the implications for the Liberals leading into the next election. Lead story on news bulletins in Sydney last night, front page coverage in Sydney’s other Sunday newspaper the Sun-Herald, post-mortems on Sydney radio this morning. It just doesn’t suit Murdoch’s agenda to dwell on the fact the Liberals are losing support.

Yeah. We had Mark Riley give regular updates on Seven during the AFL last night, not sure if they were live, probably recorded some minutes in advance like usual, but they were market specific for some reason.

There is significant interest, it’s just that the results where not what News Corp wanted to they buried the story.

Of course these two clowns would have Lauren Southern on their show, can Sky get any worse?

He ended up on the BBC on their version of insiders. It went about as well as you think.

god no. he’s hilarious to laugh at his insanity, but way too dangerous.

Will he tell us that the government are putting chemicals in the water to turn our frogs gay too?

Hopefully Alex Jones will continue to receive little to no interest by hard right wing sections of Australia’s media, because he might even make people like Brian Wilshire (former 2GB presenter infamous for talking about conspiracy theories on-air, probably a good thing he’s retired from radio) seem relatively sane by comparison!

The Sunday papers weren’t featuring heavy coverage because the results were only starting to come in just as the paper was being finalised the night before. Sunday editions don’t usually get updated beyond 10pm Saturday and the Courier Mail had printed results from 8pm, too early to be able to verify the swing’s validity.

There was more coverage in the Monday paper, including a front page.

What bit did you disagree with?

“The Bolt Report, anchored by News Corp columnist Andrew Bolt at 7pm on weeknights, had audience growth of 36%, watched by an average weekly audience of 239,000 viewers,” the Oz said.

What part of that is wrong, exactly? Ooooh, they used “reach” figures. How naughty!?! I wonder if she has such a massive problem when the morning shows post reach figures.

Give Lauren Southern her own show?
Rebroadcast Info Wars?

All valid points, I digress that Sky could probably get worse… but it’s sinking pretty damn low.

Paul Murray returned last night after a 2 week break in the US.
