The Lamentable Puns segment tonight felt a bit flat.
Final episode for the year tonight.
Not from what I hear. Expect one in December.
Speaking of which:
Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell - Pagan Holiday Special
Sunday 20 December at 8:40pm
Shaun decides to direct a play about the over commercialisation of Xmas but sees Francis decorating his doghouse and realises the spirit of Xmas is not dead. He cancels the play & goes home to watch this Xmas special instead.
I’m hearing only one season of episodes next year.
Probably for the better. I’m surprised it has even lasted so long considering Newstopia’s very short run in comparison.
I guess Shaun has a lot to be mad as hell about.
MAD AS HELL Season 13
Unlucky for Some
Premieres Wednesday 26 May at 8:30pm
Australia’s only topical news satire (excluding The Weekly, Sammy j’s spot, that thing Mark Humphries does on 7:30, those Juice Media sketches you can find online, Dan Ilic’s Rational Fear podcast, those excellent clips Huw Parkinson does on Insiders and that new quiz show the ABC are planning) is back to pour scorn and ridicule on our government and occasionally lob a softball jokes at Labor to try and keep the IPA happy. I mean really, how much material can you be expected to come up with every week about how ineffectual and pointless the Opposition are? What a bunch of useless layabouts.
STARRING: Shaun Micallef, Emily Taheny, Francis Greenslade, Christie Whelan Browne, Stephen Hall, the Kraken, and Tosh Greenslade.
Production Credit: Produced by ITV Studios Australia and Giant Baby in association with ABC TV. Executive Producers: Peter Beck and Shaun Micallef. ABC Executive Producer: Tarni James.
MAD AS HELL. Confirming Accusations of ABC Bias Since 2012.
Shaun pulling a Cardinal Nosey face.
Looks like some interesting plot development this year based on the synopsis of the first episode.
Shaun works aboard a riverboat with Francis transporting livestock to the Middle East. Along the way the two play ‘Turkey in the Straw’ with a goat.
More plot developments for Shaun and the gang - * Spoiler Alert *
Ep 2 Tosh is an Argentinian gaucho who rides Stephen instead of a horse. Francis abducts Stephen in a flying saucer. Tosh confronts Francis in a fencing dispute.
Ep 3 Francis’ car beats Christie’s horse-drawn wagon at poker. Christie uses a balloon to make herself ‘light on her feet’ but comes undone after crashing in Lakehurst, New Jersey.
Put the spoiler thing around it.
Yes, I never read the synopsis of an episode before it goes to air as it spoils it for me.
Can’t say I’m a regular Mad As Hell viewer, but wouldn’t have thought they’re being for real with any episode synopsis…
I’ll be happy if I never see that ugly ABC News desk again
The Home & Away synopsis also don’t seem real.
