Week 51 is also correct - it is a slightly different calculation for that week as Nine News did not run at 6.30pm every night.
How was it calculated then? You canât compare apples and oranges and call it an average?
Or at least it should be asterisked
Each bulletin gets an average for each day and the weekly average is calculated from that.
Week 1 Preliminary
Colours indicate change from previous week - green is increase or no change, red is a decrease.
Weeks won - Full Year
So when 7 has 5 x 6.30 half hours and 9 doesnât, how do you compare the averages?
Say 9 only has 3 x 6.30 half hours do you add them to the 5 x 6.00 half hours and divide by 8?
If so, thatâs not really a fair comparison to 7s x 10 half hours as the combination is different.
Sorry âŚJust trying to understand how youâve worked it outâŚ
Week 2 Preliminary
Colours indicate change from previous week - green is increase or no change, red is a decrease.
Weeks won - Full Year
Some large drops almost across the board. Seven News down 85,000 at 6pm and Nine down 52,000.
Week 3 Preliminary
Colours indicate change from previous week - green is increase or no change, red is a decrease.
Weeks won - Full Year
Seven News doesnât do well during the Australian Open (unless a thriller match leads-in, which one day did right on 6pm and they won well).
Viewers preferring regular game shows.
As Cynic has said, Nine should really capitalise on it!
Week 4 Preliminary
Colours indicate change from previous week - green is increase or no change, red is a decrease.
Weeks won - Full Year
Another national win for Nine and in 4 cities.
Surprising to see Adelaide so strong for Nine News given sevens usual dominance.
Week 5 Preliminary
Colours indicate change from previous week - green is increase or no change, red is a decrease.
Weeks won - Full Year
Not a good week for Nine News. Ironically Seven went backwards only in Melbourne.
Look at particularly the 6pm ratings in Perth, around a 100k margin
I know thatâs well documented, but that margin is especially awful and a new presenter there.
Week 6 Preliminary
Colours indicate change from previous week - green is increase or no change, red is a decrease.
Weeks won - Full Year
Closer contest in Brisbane this year.
Seven News doing well in Brisbane thus far.
A nice clear win in Brisbane for Seven but Melbourne went a step back this week.
Hot Set seems to be out passing The Chaser in Sydney and Melbourne at the moment.
Week 7 Preliminary
Colours indicate change from previous week - green is increase or no change, red is a decrease.
Weeks won - Ratings Year
Weeks won - Full Year
Check out who won the first week of the ratings year and by how much.
Close in Sydney and Brisbane, with Seven winning the latter.
Letâs hope Seven Brisbane can keep this winning streak. Why anyone would watch Nine News Queensland is beyond me.
Do Rod Young and Kay McGrath still present weekends up there?
