As I’ve mentioned previously my antenna is still broken so I have been having to deal with watching either the Melbourne news or the delayed bulletin being on 7plus but I just turned it round on the Hubbl tonight and we have the Tasmanian bulletin.
The Tasmanian feed is now live on 7plus! It’s bloody good quality on the stream too.
Looks like they might be having some tech issues too so wonder if they’ve had a significant upgrade today. It was definitely still the Melbourne news bulletin yesterday. There’s Tasmanian ads too - just had the RACT ad although I think there were a few of those and a bit of a mix in there before with the streams.

I wonder if this also means that on terrestrial it’s now a fully clean, seperate feed to Melb? Which would be great for you guys as there would be no bad timing for ads, Melbourne news ticker, etc anymore. But obviously you can’t check.

Certainly a Tas specific feed on 7Plus, saw a few ‘local’ ads/brands…Great quality too.
Question is, Hobart feed or Northern Tas stream…The ads I saw were Hobart based, but I am in Hobart..

It’s Hobart. I can confirm this because I was able to fetch the link for it last night. And at least it means we get an updated ad for Kennedy’s Welding and Tools Specialists in Derwent Park.
IIRC, no Launceston stream exists. Even though ads from Northern Tasmania may be appearing on the station, it’s out-of-market advertising and the local feed is that of Hobart/Southern Tasmania. This is from my past experience when I grabbed Tassie ads from the Hobart feed of TNT via terrestrial means last year (under the separate SCA and SWM ownerships of the time, well before the SCA-SWM merger).
IMO, it makes little sense to put 2 different Tasmanian feeds if the programming is just going to be exactly the same, makes more sense to just stick with capital city Hobart in the long-run. I think it’s fantastic to finally see a Tasmanian Seven feed on 7plus, something that I had been barracking for since @Toddletoon moved to Melbourne.

Yes, I’ve noticed mainly all statewide ads but definitely a lot of Hobart ones but I think that was also often the case when I was watching on FTA previously. I have however had to catch myself going “Oh, I haven’t seen this ad for a while.” and then remembering why. Then getting sick of the high rotation of them - Respect aged care being one of them!
It is great finally having our news on there live though. If anybody from Seven is reading this - thank you very much! It’s greatly appreciated.
