Seven News Presenters and Reporters

Seven News in Sydney previously had the Sun-Wed and Thu-Sat model in 2009 (currently in use in Perth) in Ian Ross’ final year presenting the bulletin - though it is noted that he previously reduced his workload to four days in 2006 with Chris Bath presenting on Friday nights in addition to weekends.

Why do we need three different weather presenters on weekdays? No stability.

Surely Amber could just be the Weather Presenter Sunday - Thursday? and do TMS updates?

I agree

Why do we need weather presenters at all….the weather is on our phones, watches and out the window. Gone are the days when we had no other way to find out the weather and in reality, the BOM ain’t getting it right much anymore, watching the weather report at night for the next day seems a waste of time when I can just check the app on my phone in the morning

Hugh Whitfeld for afternoon news with immediate cross to Melbourne; Tom Sacre sport.

Still replying to yourself back to completely random and irrelevant posts. Why do you do that?

Why do you keep asking?

You’ve been doing this for months and haven’t got a response.

I’m going to keep asking until he responds. It’s not a difficult question. It’s a very strange thing he does and I’d like to understand the purpose of it.

If they don’t wish to answer and it’s not harming anyone or breaching any rules of conduct, i’d probably just let it go.

Unless they are sourcing the weather reports from additional sources other than the BoM there would be a point of watching the weather on the 6pm news other than sourcing it from your mobile device. Unfortunately not the case but that is the same for the majority of mobile app sources. But given it has been part of TV news bulletins since the first TV news bulletins in Australia in 1956 it should stay for the convience factor. I know there will be a weather report at the end of the 6pm news even though I could get the same information on a weather app or online.

With Sunday Sport from Matthew White.

Yes you’ve made your repetitive point about whether apps. The simple answer is that it’s a better commercial news bulletin and localised presentation with a whether presenter. This is supported by audience research and preferences. That’s it. Now you know.

I’m not sure whether your post is entirely accurate.
