Bruce Abernethy is filling in for Mark Sodastrom on sport in Adelaide.

Also, it appears that since the bulletin returned earlier this year, Mike Smithson no longer does the 4pm news Monday-Wednesday - now, either Gertie Spurling or Casey Trealor share the role (usually whoever does the 12pm national news weather), with Amelia Mulcahy filling in when needed.

Mike must just be doing weekends and a day here and there reporting, maybe edging towards retirement?

Gertie will be keeping the 4pm seat warm for Eslbeth who they will no doubt inflict upon us when she gets back from maternity leave.

Yep - he’s still appears most weeks on ABC Radio Adelaide’s weekly spin-cycle segment, and is also now a columnist for InDaily since the start of this year.
