Seven News Presenters and Reporters

Also tonight, in Adelaide, Mark Soderstrom presented sport from the Adelaide Oval tonight.

Also included a live cross to Josh Monney who was standing about 20 meters away from Soda.

Mark Soderstrom was also MC for the pre-match ceremony before tonight’s AFL qualifying final between Port Adelaide and Geelong.

EDIT: Josh Money was also the boundary reporter for ABC Radio’s match broadcast.

appears Amelia was supposed to do weather from the rooftop but they must have lost the feed!

They joked that she left early to get a corporate seat

Seriously though, there seems to be an issue with the link at least once or twice a month these days, with Rosanna taking over from the studio.

For what it’s worth, the same man was back in court yesterday, and they sent the same reporter to cover the story. This time there was no running though, with the man speaking in court, and the Judge denied bail.

Interesting development. This screams “oh shit I’ve found out what they have on me I’m definitely going to loose this”.

We’ll never know though.

I wonder if he’ll pop up somewhere else in the future.

I hope so, he is one of the last old-school, ruthless journalists remaining.

Oh well, messy situation for all parties.

Wake up mate, you don’t backdown on legal action if you did nothing wrong. Seven is already the second chance factory for dodgy men, no network would go near him after his decision today which in effect admits guilt.

More hiccups in Melbourne tonight. Just now at 6:50pm ending the special sport segment live-cross from the MCG, after Bruce McAvaney’s pre-recorded 7Racing preview finished, Tim Watson’s mic was off, with Mike Amor and Rebecca Maddern noting “I’m sure what Tim said was very important” (they couldn’t hear him either). Then Jane Bunn started previewing weather but her mic also went off, as Tim could be heard in the background “…was I quick enough…” [sic?], as Jane’s audio came back, but scratchy and low from the studio/effects mic, then Mike and Bec giggling at the whole disaster, into the ad break.

Will Goodings presented solo in Adelaide tonight - Rosanna is presumably in mourning after the power’s disaster

Gertie Spurling also presented the Morning and Afternoon news the past two days.

I reckon 7News Brisbane should be right to insert someone in with Max now that Sharyn has a permanent job again.

Probably won’t look as bad now if they announced say Katrina as new co presenter then it would have if Sharyn was jobless.

what was the point in making Sharyn redundant if they just end up replacing her?

Because they aren’t spending money replacing her. Adding Katrina in wouldn’t cost them nearly as much as it would keeping Sharyn and she could probably still continue doing 4pm 3 days a week too.

Exactly… Sharyn cost too much.

However, they’ve probably got about $2.5 million sitting on the Sydney 6pm news desk with Mark, Ange and Michael…

Max and Samantha combined in brisbane would be about a quarter of that.

Wonder if they will get either Katrina or Samantha to present with Max on election night? Maybe as a test to any new presenter duo.

Is that what it’s about? I can’t read it lol

No, it’s saying al channels have their politicians locked in for the broadcast bar Seven.

Okay thanks - don’t subscribe to News Crop so thought it was referring to presenters. Apologies
