Sometimes I think it’s it really worth having a news bulletin that late
Sunday’s men’s final could finish later.
Why doesn’t perth take the Sydney news before the the coverage starts

Seven Perth could produce their own news service before the coverage starts, I imagine doing it afterwards gets better ratings.
Also the Sydney news would be pretty much irrelevant to Perth/WA viewers (even more so than the supposedly ‘national’ news service provided by Ten which we all complain about).

Yes, if it ends up being a five setter, Seven News Perth may not get to air until 9pm AWST.
They may well bump the Tennis after match presentations to 7TWO to get to News.

It would then be a weekend of real news extremes in Perth, as TEN Eyewitness News “First At Five” went to air at 2pm yesterday to accommodate the Big Bash cricket Final.

@MBB Personally l was hoping it would be Blake Johnson, but after the summer presenting line up you would have to think it will be Nick McCallum.
Blake did fill in on Afternoon News (and was extremely impressive) over summer but only because Nick McCallum was doing weeknights/weekends at that time.

Seven should’ve tried to grab Yvonne Sampson before she left for FOX Sports.
