Have Seven done any promotion for Mike Amor?

Hot tip: a recently under-fire Seven News director will announce their departure in coming weeks, but not before changing the on-air line-up.

:open_mouth: Which market?

Possibly Melbourne?

As much as I really think Seven News Sydney needs a new lead presenter & news director, they’ve been fairly competitive in the ratings recently (particularly at 6.30pm, although that’s likely due to a particular segment of the bulletin IMO) so probably won’t change much in the foreseeable future.

I was thinking the same too after the past controversies.

Its either in Sydney or Melbourne… but I cant see them removing Peter Mitchell.

I haven’t seen anything as yet probably working on promos this week, l thought it was a low key debut as weekend newsreader with nothing on social media from Seven last week.

With Angie up to her 14th consecutive day/night presenting Sydney’s 6pm weather, you’d have to imagine that we’ll most likely see a fill-in weather presenter for a couple of Friday/Saturday nights once David Brown returns for Sunday-Thursday forecasting duties?

UPDATE: Samantha Brett presented the weather on Sydney’s 4pm bulletin this afternoon, will probably also present weather during the 6pm bulletin.

Correspondent Ashlee Mullany appointed Seven News US Bureau Chief

Seven News – Australia’s most-watched news service – today confirmed the appointment of US Correspondent Ashlee Mullany to US Bureau Chief.

Ashlee replaces Mike Amor, who has returned home with his family to Melbourne to take on the role of Seven News weekend anchor after a distinguished 17 years.

Senior reporter Paul Kadak will make the move stateside, joining Ashlee and correspondent Amelia Brace as Seven News US Correspondent.

Announcing the new appointments, Network Director of News and Public Affairs, Craig McPherson, said: “Held in very high regard as one of the country’s foremost news correspondents, Mike has led this exceptional team for almost two decades, and that depth of skill, passion and news gathering experience will further bolster our Melbourne team.

“Ashlee has performed outstandingly in her time as US Correspondent covering all the major international events in recent years, and thoroughly deserves to take over this crucial position.

“While Paul brings to the bureau 23-years’ reporting experience, including reporting from three Olympic Games, major news events at all points of the globe and domestically. A true journalistic craftsman.”
