Including her stint with Ten, Emma Dallimore would have been working in the US for a decade? What’s next for her?

@JohnsonTV Emma said on her Instagram almost 8 years in the US.She has moved to Sydney maybe she will join the Sydney news team, they have lost a few senior reporters so she would be a perfect replacement.

Watching Seven News Sydney makes me cringe these days. Mark and Mel are so awkward together, with one trying to make interaction while the other refuses it. It’s so cringeworthy. Why didn’t Seven poach any other very talented female sports presenters last year? There was Yvonne Sampson, Erin Molan, Julie Snook, Roz Kelly etc, and they had to go Mel McLaughlin?

Maybe they tried. They can’t force someone to come across. And poaching is not always the best strategy.

Not sure if it has been mentioned. Former rugby league star Brett Kimmorley has signed with Seven and will appear on the Sydney bulletin twice a week, on top of his weekend work with Fox League.

League legend Brett Kimmorley joins Seven News

NRL legend Brett Kimmorley will appear for the first time tomorrow night, Monday 8 May, on Seven News at 6pm in his new role as Seven News Rugby League contributor.

In his role, Brett will provide expert Rugby League analysis, LIVE crosses from the games, reporting the latest Rugby League breaking news and contribute his NRL expertise and knowledge to the Seven News team.

“Noddy” signed a deal with Seven News that will take into consideration his family commitments.

Seven’s Sydney News Director Jason Morrison said: “Brett lives and breathes NRL; his passion for footy is second to none. Brett’s had a stellar career with 307 games and he’s a valuable addition to the Seven News Sydney team.”

“On a personal note, we were all saddened by the passing of Brett’s wife Sharnie. We will work with Brett’s responsibilities on the home front in his availability to us.”

One of the greats of the game, Brett Kimmorley was a star NRL halfback. He last played for the Canterbury Bulldogs, retiring in 2010. He also famously played for the Newcastle Knights, Melbourne Storm and Cronulla Sharks. Noddy represented Country NSW four times and New South Wales two times as well as playing 15 times for his country including the 2000 World Cup.

Sadly, on the 23rd of March this year, Brett Kimmorley’s wife Sharnie passed away after battling a brain tumour.

“Brett is one of the most respected people in rugby league and so to have him join the Seven News team is a huge coup for us.” Seven’s Sydney Sports Editor Jim Wilson said.
