Mrs Nassif, wife of developer Jean Nassif, is seeking aggravated damages over the report from February 2019 that alleged her not-for-profit Wiping Tears Charitable Foundation passed on just $5000 of the $210,000 it raised in 2016/17.
Wiping Tears aims to provide “immediate financial assistance to families who are experiencing disadvantage due to illnesses or social injustice”, according to its website.
Model and actor Mrs Nassif wants Seven barred from publishing future reports carrying the same allegedly defamatory imputations and its original story deleted from social media.
Justice Wendy Abraham set down three days of hearings for the trial set to begin on April 14, 2021.

Surely this will happen on Monday night? From what I recall, the equivalent bulletin on Nine was in native HD from the Monday after QTQ upgraded.

Sounds likely, since Monday is the first night of the week that Sharyn and Max present (Katrina does Sunday’s).
LCN-70 has been Seven Gold Coast since at least July (no doubt in preparation for an eventual switch to HD production) so presuming that it comes out of the same control room as the main 6pm news like Nine, you’d think Seven Gold Coast News should be in 1080i from Monday.
Wouldn’t they have to change scheduling on the HD channel then?
At 5:30, when Gold Coast News is on the SD channel, The Chase AU airs on HD?
And I wouldn’t think Seven’s Gold Coast News would bear too well with the opposition, that’s why they left The Chase on the HD channel.

So it seems that the HD version of Seven’s main channel on the Gold Coast has been the local feed (rather than the Brisbane one provided previously) since then. Of course I’m not currently in a position to confirm or deny either way but all things considered, surely there’s a 99% chance of Seven Gold Coast News being in full 1080i from Monday?!
