Did they use the Melbourne set or was it just the backdrop only in view?

This was new in Melbourne tonight. No blue OTS graphic to be seen. It was either a live city shot, graphic behind presenter or full screen shot of Peter Mitchell over two screens.

Nope, just the backdrop but it was evident they were producing somewhere else as the lighting was horrible which made Sue and Baz age 10 years

I thought the lighting in the new set in Perth had already made them age 10 years! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Yes the lighting was a bit of a giveaway in the caps, couldn’t watch it LIVE myself as I was away, but it’s a bit odd they didn’t use GWN7’s resources as they are much closer!

Wouldn’t GWN be using their own facilities at this time?

Huh, I didn’t actually think that lol, I was agreeing with the others to be honest, but couldn’t of they just used a mini setup with a greenscreen backdrop, as there wasn’t any use or appearance of the Melbourne set tonight…

Still need a control room.

I like it! Reminds me of the older “You’re watching, Seven News” voiceover on Perth during the early to mid 2000s! Though I think it may be temporary, as the regular one has “from the studios of Seven Perth” and chopping up the current one wouldn’t make much sense as it has no mention of the word ‘Seven News’, but if this will stay, I think it’ll grow on me.

Nice light-hearted ending to Sydney’s bulletin last night:

Also looks like the jib is back which is great.

“I hope I have a good night” - lol, gotta admit that was kinda funny.
Mel didn’t get him a present, though. What a let-down! :joy:

Haha yes, you can see the moment she glances at the monitor and realises they are still on air.
