Seven News Content and Appearance (2020-Feb 2025)

All good - fair chance I missed it here!

Be interesting to see if these “bright side” segments are the same stories across the metro bulletins.

Not sure what night it was, but HSV covered Taronga zoo elephants.

Shown in Perth same night.

We got the elephants in Adelaide on tonight’s “Ray of Sunshine”

I watched some of 7 News Sydney tonight (I usually watch Nine) and nearly all of the supers were incorrectly timed in the first 10 minutes, they appeared on the person AFTER the one that they should have appeared on.

Not sure about after that, was cooking/eating dinner.

These things happen. It’s just a technical problem clearly. No one meant for that to happen.

Love the backdrop. But not a fan of the name.
The backdrop giving 60 mins.

Even just the name takes me back to the 80s! I like it.

Adelaide is getting the national 5pm news today instead of a local bulletin

EDIT - And again on Sunday

Slight technical error to start the Sydney bulletin.

Definitely a blown away graphic. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Why the focus on “National” in branding all of a sudden? It’s never been much of an issue before.

Surely they’re not about to rebrand to Seven National News?

Even at 6pm?

I wouldn’t complain if they did.. It would be a point of difference to the other (network’s) bulletins with rather plain branding.

Plain branding like 7News Mornings… 7News Afternoons…?

Sorry, my comment was in relation to other networks (post edited).

unless if they bought back seven nightly news for 6pm, and had it as national news for the other bulletins

Plain branding on other networks?

9News Morning
9News: First at Five

10 News First: Lunchtime
10 News First: Afternoon
10 Late News

ABC is the only one that doesn’t use bulletin-specific branding on national bulletins outside of showing where they’re presenting from.

They are still primarily branded/advertised as ‘9 News’ and ‘10 News’ as opposed to (potentially) ‘Seven National News’ as a whole of day brand.
