Episode 1: The Atlantic Coast

The Atlantic Coast, where wild horses battle, bald eagles chase ospreys and sharks protect fish; raccoons navigate city life, black bears search for food in ancient forests and a 130-year-old oak tree prepares for winter’s arrival.

I wonder if the highlights will still air tonight, after this morning’s final race was cancelled following two laps behind the safety car, due to heavy rain at Albert Park circuit.

I assume the start times will be amended to 7.05pm as both Footscray and Port Melbourne have adequate facilities for night broadcasts. Probably just a case of the AFL being slow to update their app/website.

Seven spending big on AFL adjacent nightly programming, but resorting to airing an overseas doco Tue, UK game show import on Wed and an overseas dog behaviour show on Thur.

I guess while their news, sport etc is still rating well most won’t call out this uninspired and filler primetime lineup for what it is.

It’s just cheap and lazy.

It is very strange having a person with an American accent doing documentaries like this. I would definitely watch if David Attenborough was doing it. But to have someone who is not known for doing any documentaries like Tom Hanks just seems strange especially outside the US.

Season 2:

The scripts are being written now, and it wouldn’t help any viewers to know any more about it than that. We will be shooting this year. Our hope and aim is to give more of the same: the ongoing, intriguing narrative and the same weekly, resolved mystery.
