A double episode was scheduled the following week for the finale.
The change was made because of the poor ratings for Breathtaking.
The following week will be the Ludwig finale and a crime premiere one off special.

Why do they put horse racing on 7Two? I get demographics and such but you’ve got 7 & 7Mate, which are both in HD nationwide, whereas 7Two is HD is Adelaide & Perth only.

Looks like Seven are trying to address their falling afternoon ratings.
Beat The Chasers will takeover the 3PM afternoon timeslot Monday to Wednesday starting next Monday with Season 1 Episode 1 replacing The Chase UK. The Chase is still in for Thursdays and Fridays.

At least BTC won’t be coming up against the Lucky Stars component of Tipping Point which I believe airs on Nine on Friday afternoons.
I think its a good idea. To break up the arvo slot. Luckily, its national this time, and not just for Perth viewers

Especially since 10 showed the Golden Globe Awards live in all states in January. Why can’t Seven do the same with the Oscars?
Because, some markets have a delayed version of Sunrise to watch! 
This is the first Fox Footy-produced regular season match to be shown on delay on FTA this year, under the new 7-year broadcast deal with the AFL. The match starts at 4.15pm Queensland time (5.15pm AEDT).

The only thing QLD, SA and WA would miss out on, if the Oscars was shown live, is some infomercials on The Morning Show. Seems like the Oscars would easily outrate that. As it is, for a ceremony like this, spoilers are going to be everywhere and near impossible to avoid, especial for Perth viewers, 3 hours later.

The new weekly schedule: lets all embrace the split schedule as it begins, and will remain for the next six months. With the AFL starting, and timezones and non- AFL cities into 7Mate for some matches etc.
Great to have The Front Bar back.
