Seven Network - Programs and Schedules

Seven attempting another dessert based show.

Given it all ended in tears last time when they pissed the Rio Olympics promotional advantage up the wall with Zumbo, I am surprised they’re flogging this dead horse again. It’s cruel.

Surely Zumbo and Hell’s Kitchen (even Family Food Flop) has proven to Seven that other than MKR and Masterchef there is absolutely no more spaces for a cooking show.

They should do two seasons of MKR a year and be done with it if they want another cooking show.

And coincidently I hear Zumbo’s name mentioned in news for negative reasons today

Zumbo was not right as a host for this show but “Just Desserts” could work well with Rachel Khoo or someone else.

…not to mention Restaurant Revolution and Aussie BBQ Heroes, the 2015 attempts to establish a “companion” cooking show to MKR.

I completely agree in any case. Seven really needs fresh programming ideas for the 2nd half of the year, otherwise they might be in serious danger of losing their coveted “Australia’s #1” title at some point in the future.

I’d guess the main reason Seven haven’t done that is because viewers would probably quickly get sick and tired of MKR if it was on twice a year.

This seems like the most superfluous idea for Seven right now. No one is asking for another reality food show.

With the umpteen cooking shows, will viewers flock to this show or dessert, i mean desert Seven

No doubt about it though, cooking shows are still the cream of the crop when it comes to ratings, even Nine sticking to one.

MasterChef and MKR’s 25-54 performance and longevity, over two networks.

Doesn’t surprise me with even Netflix adding cooking and baking shows.

Saw a promo tonight during Better Homes and Gardens on 7TWO, promoting Little Big Shots and Dance Boss together as “three nights of super family fun”.

Sounds like torture to me.

They’re already losing faith in their new series? Looks like we’re going to see another repeat of what happened last year.

Haven’t checked the schedule but I’m assuming the time slots are listed as TBA and Cynic is making educated guesses.

Yeah indeed I forgot about that. That’ll teach me from jumping to conclusions too early in the future.
