After all the talk, there is some news - Family Guy and American Dad will return to the main channel on 19 October with new episodes.

It doesn’t automatically mean 10 just get a pipeline. They’re still a commercial FTA network with advertisers and need to make money.
Paramount need to monetize their content and licence to broadcasters and streamers who will pay.
Paramount have countless IP and distribution rights across multiple services in Australia, absolutely not just 10, 10 Streaming and Paramount Plus.

Absolutely. However, I am referencing legacy deals. If there was no life of series for Survivor, I can 100% tell you that Paramount would keep Survivor and be the #1 destination for the series and have exclusive rights to the new seasons.
But yes, second windows will always occur. They have licensed their CSI franchises to Seven to run on 7flix and there will be deals in the future. However, Paramount (in this current environment) would never allow their popular IP to have first run on another broadcaster. Same with 7 and 9.
I am only talking about maybe a dozen shows - their legacy deals have made for confusing scheduling in Australia.
Monday night comedy night on Seven. That’s different.
Wish they were on an earlier timeslot though (on 7mate), but it is what it is.
I know it’s more of a cult show than mainstream, but wish It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia aired before midnight, something it hasn’t been done in a while.

Someone had asked earlier, so Chicago Fire will be back on broadcast tv on Seven from mid October

Thursday 15 October Overnight
From executive producers Julie Plec & Marguerite MacIntyre comes a story of friendship, romance and danger. In a world of privilege and glamour, two young women’s friendship transcends their strikingly different classes as they prepare to complete their education and enter vampire society. One as a powerful Royal, the other a half-vampire Guardian trained to protect against the savage ‘Strigoi’ who threaten to tear their society apart. That is, if Royal infighting doesn’t do the job first.

We have the first glimpse of Seven’s broadcast schedule of Rugby League World Cup 2026, with coverage split between main channel and 7mate.
For the first time, the annual Telethon in Perth will be shown on the main channel in all states (at least on opening night).
Big week of sport across the screens of Seven, bookended by Bathurst 1000 and Caulfield Cup and The Everest horse races.

Has Telethon gone national this year?
Surprised to RLWC running on the main channel in Melbourne and Adelaide. Maybe just for the first game or at the back-end of the week.
In 2017, IIRC, it was a split schedule. But from memory it did really well in Sydney.
70 Years OF 7 - what a “shock”. lol.
At least Nine’s version of 70 Years of TV mentioned other networks - even if they were brief mentions.

I guess they had to differentiate with the 9 special.

Why so late? I thought it would’ve been at 8:30 pm.
MKR followed by The Rookie but they could have had it at 10pm.
The rookie only has 3 episodes left too
That’s not good scheduling at all, are the ratings that low?
If we are referring to FG and AD then the answer is yes. This is a young skewing more cult classic. It would not even get 150k at 9pm. Its either late night on 7 and help them with younger demos or on a multi channel
