Seven AFL Coverage

They might as well give it a gp in those markets. No harm in trying

I think that some of the guys that did games in the 80s like Lou Richards, Jack Edwards, Peter Landy or even Bob Skliton were better than BT or Hamish.

Michael Felgate filling-in for Sam McClure at Footy Central tonight.

Channel change for VIC and SA viewers.

Lawrence Mooney filling in for Mick Molloy on The Kick tonight. He has already been on Behave Yourself and The Front Bar this week. He could be in risk of overexposure.

Purple 7 logo for saints v tigers match.

It’s the usual red logo on FOX Footy.

It’s not on 7mate here in NSW as both the Hawks v GWS and Swans v Suns game were on this afternoon.

It’s blue in Queensland

I think @Super_SC was referring specifically to the St Kilda v Richmond game because purple is the colour being used for an awareness campaign for Maddie Riewoldt.

Not purple on Footy Play either

Jason Bennett calling along side Basil Zempilas on Saturday Night Footy again, Luke Darcy must be back next week.

Jason Bennett will call the Sunday match between Carlton and melbourne at the mcg.

Prime7 had their normal sport watermark (main channel) during the ‘Maddie’s Match’ as well.

(Visiting relatives in Bendigo).

So many fill ins at the moment

Maybe it’s me, but Seven should have Jason Bennett calling the Sunday games with BT.

Agreed, Jason Bennett is a quality caller and is streets ahead of Hamish and Bazil.

##Round 17

Essendon will be fighting for a win to get back on track for finals on Friday Night Football when they face off against St Kilda. The Saints have been impressive and are coming off four consecutive wins, so the Bombers need to put their best foot forward.

New Saint Jake Carlisle faces his former teammates for the first time and we hear from him in the pre-game. We also speak to John Worsfold and Alan Richardson live from inside the club rooms moments before the teams run out.

Essendon midfielder Zach Merrett tells us about his courageous mother Cathy who suffers from multiple sclerosis. Merrett will wear specially designed boots on Friday which will be auctioned to raise money for MS.

The Demons host the top of the table Crows at TIO Stadium in Darwin on Saturday Night Footy. Melbourne have won five out of their last six games and will be hoping to repeat their upset victory over Adelaide earlier in the year.

On The Kick, Sam Lane and AFLW star Moana Hope chat with former champion wrestler Sasha Banks about all things WWE. We also catch up with one of footy’s characters, Lions half forward Mitch Robinson.

At half time, Demons young gun Mitch Hannan talks about the persistence needed to be drafted as a mature age recruit through the VFL after making his debut earlier this year.

The Western Bulldogs and Carlton meet for the first time this season on Sunday Football. The Blues have shown glimmers of hope throughout the year but have struggled to hold momentum while the Dogs’ form has slipped in the second half of the season. With only seven weeks left before finals, both teams will be looking to impress.

During the coverage, Versatile Bulldog Jack Redpath talks about the ups and downs of his football career including injuries and making it onto the Dogs’ senior list in 2014.

This will be Seven’s first production at TIO Stadium, Darwin.

Last free-to-air production was in 2011 (and 2010) on Ten.

I am a bit surprised that Seven are covering Demons vs Crows in the AFL states, and not the Sydney derby, which at the start of the season would have been considered a possible grand final preview.

I know it doesn’t feature a Victorian team, but still, it would probably be a better quality contest than MEL v ADL.
