Seven AFL Coverage

So this 7+ streaming is similar to the 7+ streaming of the grand final + streaming available on mobile devices

I think Seven is using the streaming of Brownlow Medal via 7plus on mobile devices as a trial, before it will be available on 7plus website when the new broadcast deal starts in 2025.

It appears they’ve had to backtrack - from the link above:

The coverage cannot be streamed on the 7plus website, and will not be made available for on-demand viewing as a replay.

An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated the Brownlow could be streamed on the 7plus app on iOS and Android. The count will also be live streamed on the AFL Live Official App from 7.35pm AEST, available to users in Australia only.

For the second year in a row, we had a close finish and the winner was not decided until the final round of the home and away season.

Gillon McLachlan did a great job reading the votes for the final time before he leaves the AFL chief executive job. But it was quite disorderly at Crown Palladium. At the start of almost each round, Gillon had to raise his voice and say “Round (number)”, a signal for guests to sit down promptly.

I saw the promo today that said GF Day was from 7am (as per last frame above). Does that mean it starts at 7am on 7+ while WS is on 7?

They are including Sunrise as part of the Grand Final Day Coverage.

The 7am start time encompasses Weekend Sunrise.

They do one one part of the promo but not the other.

Abbey Holmes is part of a five-person panel that will vote on the winner of Norm Smith Medal. The panel consists of dual Norm Smith medallist and Adelaide premiership player Andrew McLeod (chair), recently retired Fremantle champion David Mundy, Brisbane Lions triple premiership player Jonathan Brown, Holmes, and Michael Gleeson from The Age.
