Finally nicer weather (in Melbourne at least) and folks out and about? Eurovision impact? People turned to ABC?

Whatever it was, those commercial FTA audiences last night are truly awful, even for a 2023 environment (keep looking to Married and Seven News if you want proof of 1m+ still achievable)… Not a single program on Seven, Nine and 10 in prime time made the Top 20 (bar AFL - which was also worryingly low considering a big club in Essendon in what was shaping as a good match but TBH wasn’t so another factor I guess plus Carlton v Bulldogs on Foxtel against it would’ve taken many away and that match was better). Outranked by ABC, SBS and day time and breakfast programs. There was live sport, a FTA movie premiere, Harry Potter and an all time classic Lucas-Spielberg franchise yet none seemed to deliver like they’d all used to :disappointed:

Let’s scrap last night and move on, eh. Let’s hope the new shows starting this week provide some boost to FTA and this coming Saturday sees one of the AFL’s biggest marquee games in DreamTime at the G between Essendon and Richmond which should go big.

Yeah, like Yellow Sock points to, I was more looking at the WoW and YoY plus comparing to Seven, Nine, ABC and SBS’ usual Sat shares, you can see it was definitely one of 10’s better outings (which Cynic also noted) and maybe younger viewers too, just unfortunate with ABC dramas up and SBS Eurovision doesn’t look that way on paper.

Also, you could say 10% and 15% are not ‘good’ main ch shares for ABC and Channel 9 and a Sat, 20% is good for Channel 7, while 7% and 9% are very good for 10 and especially SBS.
