Nine recorded another +30% share for an easy Saturday win in the overnights. Nine won all markets except Perth were it ranked third behind Seven and ABC. All other networks were down with 10’s share its lowest of 2021 so far.

Most sessions of the tennis across the day made the top 20 with the 7 - 9pm coding the highest. ABC’s UK dramas were the highest rated alternative while Seven’s movie made the top 10. The debut of Three Blue Ducks on 10 got off to a bad start ranking just 27th but ahead of the three repeat episodes of Ambulance that followed.

ABC News Channel’s again had a big presence in the multichannel listing.

At breakfast Weekend Sunrise ranked 14th with 247,000 ahead of Weekend Today with 209,000 with Today posting a rare win in Sydney while Sunrise won in Melbourne. News Breakfast was almost 40,000 behind Today.

Good job 10 :+1:t2:

Yep an utter terrible night for 10.

Nine won the night easily despite its tennis numbers fell from Friday. Nine News had big wins in Sydney and Melbourne (and a narrow victory in Adelaide) thanks to the tennis lead-in.

This suggests that Ash Barty’s match was more appealing than Alex De Minaur’s match.

Wow - what a pleasant surprise to receive Saturday ratings report on a Sunday

Thank you @TV.Cynic

And Brisbane too? Geez you’d wonder how? It’s just not engaging. TVs left on 9 after the tennis the night before?
Speaking of tennis… has really turned out well for 9… their run of luck looks set to continue in 2021.

Nine had a good win, thanks to Ash Barty and Alex De Minaur playing. The ABC held well against the competition too.

Sound of Music makes another appearance in the multi-channels ratings, marking its 100th ratings appearance in the last three years :stuck_out_tongue:

Channel 10’s ratings? Ouch!

Thank you Cynic! :relaxed:

Surprised the tennis did that well, even with two Australians, considering everything.

Nine could be in a bit of trouble tonight however, with no Aussies or Federer and Nadal or even Williams (she’s this afternoon). That’s in stark contrast to previous years.

Nine might’ve peaked early this year, with Wednesday and Friday well up year-on-year, might have to wait until Ash Barty is in prime time again and later next week for high audiences.

Zverev followed by Djokovic unlikely to be big draw-cards, certainly the former, both are on the nose with fans at the moment too. Nine will hope for 5 set thillers probably to hook-in viewers and boost numbers / shares.

I notice an in-program promo pop-up just before for “Guess Whom? with Andy Lee tonight on Nine” which was interesting.

There was no A-League on the ABC yesterday after the Western United-Sydney FC clash was postponed due to Victoria’s 5-day lockdown. A repeat episode of Midsomer Murders was shown at 5pm instead.

With the Victoria lockdown, Nine News smashed Seven News in Melbourne.
The DeMinaur-Fognini match finished earlier with Italian player Fognini advancing to the 4th round. With Ashleigh Barty the only Australian to make it to the 4th round, time will tell with the ratings.

For the Saturday, those Nine News Melbourne rating’s are great, with a 111,000 lead.
Nine News Adelaide still beat Seven, with Rosanna and Mike. Will be interesting if viewers make a move for Sunday or during the next weekend(s), or if Nine continues to lead.

Not to mention that it’s really early in the Autumn Carnival - the big race meets are still a fair way to go
