SAS Australia

Sounds like he has a habit of making things up.

When I heard the interview, it sounded like he was joking. He has a dry sense of humour so some people might not be able to tell when he’s having a laugh.

They also asked him about when he was in battle, whether he ever asked his squadmates to look after his family, in case he didn’t make it through. He said he never did but he did ask them to destroy his mobile phone. They thought he was serious but he had to say that it was a joke.

The Daily Mail claims Ant Middleton’s Australian TV career is likely over, following the disqualification of him and brother Dan from The Amazing Race Australia earlier this year.

‘Any talk of Ant returning for another season of SAS Australia or being considered for new formats on free-to-air has completely disappeared,’ a TV insider exclusively told Daily Mail.

‘The networks don’t want the baggage anymore.’

SAS: Australia v England pits seven Aussie celebrities against seven UK celebrities in one of the most unforgiving environments in the world: the Moroccan desert. The Directing Staff take the recruits through hostile and unforgiving warfare environments, while testing their mental and physical ability through a series of realistic training exercises, all designed to simulate real SAS training.

Can the Aussies triumph in the world’s toughest test and in the end, who can make the final SAS selection? SAS: Australia v England is produced by Minnow Films and distributed by Banijay Rights.

Seven’s Angus Ross has told TV Tonight that the Aussie contestants for Australia v England are Mack Horton, Emily Seebohm, Brad Hodge, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Ryan Moloney, Jessika Power and Axle Whitehead.

You would hope that they won’t bring Ant Middleton back again. He should be a complete no go zone.

TV tonight has confirmed the new season does not include Ant.

Guessing it’s an Aussie only series rather than a joint UK production given only two of those would have any kind of recognition here.

According to News Corp’s Annette Sharp, Australia v England will be co-produced by Channel 4.

Well, yes, to appeal to British audiences. But Natalie Bassingthwaighte has done a lot more than Neighbours as lead singer in Rogue Traders, hosting gigs like So You Think You Can Dance and actress/singer in many theatre productions.
