Peter Sterling presents the Clive Churchill Medal

At risk of getting piled on, they seriously need to move on now. The initial response was classy, well-handled (which is usually not something I’d credit the NRL with)… then went off the deep end by manufacturing his two “game appearances”, let alone whatever tonight was.

The most important thing is that the 50-point curse is dead.

Pity those Henny Pennies were wasted in the end.

No encore for Daniel Arvidson tonight I’m afraid, but you can’t expect to snuff the Rooster with almost no entries into the red zone and a few schoolboy errors. I think Newy got a bit of stage fright when it mattered most.

No hate but James Bracey is kinda cringing me on the players introductions on stage lol

Agree, I imagine 2027 will be a lot quieter for Jai in that respect… it’s had a good run.

Absolutely.

The pre entertainment is meant to get the crowd pumped and excited both at the game and at home. Tonight’s was very depressing and awkward.

I would say people there were being polite and went along with it but the NRL had already done plenty for Jai.

Tonight was not the night for whatever they were trying to do.

Obviously i am shattered by tonight’s result. But still very proud of the Knights. Going from Wooden Spoon to a Grand Final in 12 months.

But this might be an unpopular opinion but i will be glad to see the back of DCE

Most Knights fans right now

I hate the Roosters. I’m on the train now, and they’re not even showing they’re elated with the win. Fucking smug pricks.

Least likeable club in the comp, Mat Thompson continuous orgasms over Mark Nawaqanitawase too. Yuck.

Triple M weren’t much better
I would have listened to Triple M Newcastle except there is too much lag on the app

I felt so heartbroken about the Knights losing to the Roosters in the GF. From a wooden spoon (17th) to Grand Final, it was the biggest climb in nrl history. The Knights started off well, but then Roosters fought back and seized the lead during the second half.

You got to feel for the Knights who have put in a huge amount of effort this year.

Their finals run is one of the best of all time, it can’t be doubted.

I had it on the SportsEars - yeah, it sounded like Mat was just going to town all over Marky Mark.

Well..well..well.. what a finish to the season.

Not only did the Roosters take home the NRLW Premiership.. they also took home the NRL Premiership.

The Broncos only started to kick into gear in the last 5 minutes of the game & the Roosters ran away with the premiership by a 24 point lead.

The Knights should be proud of themselves for last night’s performance. That first half had me at the edge of the seat panicking. From Wooden Spooners to Grand Final Runner-Ups. Even if the Knights didn’t win - I don’t think anything is going to forget the fight they put against the Roosters.

For the first time in ages.. both sides had equal refereeing (unlike 2019 which I can’t mention because I’m a Roosters supporter).

DCE won us the game with that field goal, Marky Mark was amazing with the try scoring. There was some great tackles aswell (actually had force compared to Penrith). So.. the Roosters indeed break the 50-point curse.
