Will he be allowed to switch to Super Rugby? Will the Eels tell him to GFH for two years?

Apparently the Eels are still open to him joining another team, they just want a better deal than what the storm was offering.

Personally I’d be very wary of signing him considering the exit he’s had from 2 clubs.

I don’t think they can stop him playing in another competition, given he was leaving the Eels to join the Rugby 360 comp.

Why on earth does the NRL have trainers in orange (same colour as the refs) and yellow (same colour as one of the teams)?

One win on the board for the Storm and just like that, they occupy the top of the leaderboard.

Let’s see how long they stay there.

Was expecting a much closer contest than Storm being up 36-4 with 22 minutes still to go.

Parramatta defence with more holes than a slice of Swiss cheese.

Next game vs the Dragons in Wollongong will be tricky.

Since Shane Flanagan took over as Dragons coach in 2024, the Red V are 4-0 vs the Storm and Broncos, with three of these being away from home.

Parramatta already in mid season form. :skull:

Isn’t there an old stat that no team has ever conceded 50 points in a game and won the comp the same year?!

If so, the drought appears as though it will go beyond 40 years.

And with that, Bellyache wins a season opener for the 23rd year in a row.

I really thought Parra had a good chance tonight, I was way off the mark.

Another long year for Parra. Long may it continue.

15 set restarts a big factor in the blowout score.

Because FS2 has been dropped by a lot of TV providers due to its unattractive programming inventory.

That’s all.

I mean I’m sure that’s not all.

Well, a NASCAR race on Fox got sent to FS2 (51.6m homes) earlier this year because it was running way overtime.

Immediately, social media lit up with “we don’t have access to FS2”.

FS1, which is more widely distributed (71.2m homes), was carrying NCAA b’ball coverage, so not usable.

And Fox Business, which is even more available and has largely become the home of college sports overflows, wasn’t used.

Maybe if NRL was on FS1, it could get 100k-150k viewers or somewhere like that. Still dismal but not that dismal.

It all comes down to accessibility.

It also paints a picture of a country that has no interest in rugby league - at least people were looking for NASCAR.

No interest? They barely even know it exists.

If you remove travelling supporters and free tickets that will tell the real story. I think the numbers of attendees would be pretty dismal.

Warriors win and climb to second place in the leaderboard.

Roosters did make quite a comeback attempt from down 6-28 to just 10 points, despite having two disallowed tries.
